After the title was delayed -- presumably so those who pre-ordered Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts could feel a little more special -- Microsoft has announced that the original Banjo Kazooie will finally be headed to Xbox Live Arcade this Wednesday. The game will be available for the price of 1200 Microsoft Points (been seeing that price a lot lately, haven't we?) and features Banjo and his pal Kazooie in the original game that launched the series way back on the Nintendo 64. Apart from being one of the more well-known platformers, Banjo Kazooie also offers connectivity with Nuts & Bolts, allowing gamers to unlock new content in the XBLA game by playing its console-bound cousin.

I'm not paying that. $15 for a game I played 10 years ago isn't worth it. I don't care how good it looks or how well it runs. I'll pay 800 points, but 1200 is too, too much.
Sorry Rare, but given that all your games after Perfect Dark" have sucked, I'm not going to gladly fork over a bunch of money so you can continue to screw up the Perfect Dark series and the Banjo-Kazooie series.

Damn Deagle, what is wrong with you? Someone has an opposing opinion, and you answer by saying "Noo u r idiat".
Anyway, I disagree with you Koko, but I'm not going to insult you because of it. The XBL Banjo-Kazooie is improved, as you mentioned, but it's still a great game. I guess I can understand not wanting this if you still have it on your N64, but it's a great experience for those who haven't played it well worth $15.
And I haven't played the new PD game, but have you tried the new B-K? It's not a traditional platformer, but it is a fun game regardless. I wouldn't say Rare "screwed it up".

Actually, it is the other way round. Rare have added new parts to the original game that allows you to collect an egg on each level. This then appears in Nuts and Bolts as a crate containing additional vehicle parts (and an extra 0-point achievement).

A clear no-go again. Even if it were the next best thing to sliced bread, I'll not blow 1200 MSP on an emulated N64 module. What happened to "Retro games will be cheaper than original titles"?

Been looking forward to this for a long time, always wondered what all the fuss was about - haven't played a platforming games for years either. Anyone who pre-ordered it know what file size is ? Cheers.

Its only around 50MB, less I think. Lots of fun, though. Playing it now. I want to beat it before I fire up Nuts and Bolts.
