If there ever was a game that needed a simultaneous worldwide release, this would be the game.

why would sony release their # 1 game franchise of all time in japan only first?

holiday 2009 west release??
i hope they dont make excuses if the game doesnt sell as many as they thought because of release timeframe.

summer 2009 sounds like a good time to release this game in the US.

but if its not ready its not ready.
but why they spend so much time on japan version?
that will sell millions less copies than American versions??

Grant Turismo is Sony's Halo. There's no possible way it will underperform sales-wise.

My... my crayon box lacks that coloyr...

That bastard salesman told me that my £1000 would buy me a crayon set with every colour beneath the sun in it :(

Unless excited is a colour found on or within the sun...

Does this mean excited is a fiery red/yellow colour?

I don't understand why it's taking them so long to finish a game. They already have the Prologue in working state, how long does it take to make a few extra tracks and car models?

They're perfectionists.

All their cars and tracks (and they have a hell-lotta of them) have to be as perfect as possible.

I don't know. I'd rather have a developer take the time to get it right than to release annual sequels with slight improvements...

I agree with Stray, but Home is really no exception. It's not even a game yet it takes forver to release. the GT series has already been crowned the best racing series and the graphics are excellent. Yeah but id rather a developer polish the game before releasing it. Ex.: Last Remnant, Infinite Undiscovery, Socom: Confrontation, Gears 2 and LBP..... :P

Give the US the UK version! Just remember to change "realise," "initialise," "colour," and any other words their proper spellings, and the dates in the correct, logical format of month THEN date, and you should be good to go. :)

Oy!
Those are the correct spellings - the American versions are the basterdized ones. x

Ahaha you wish! Pronounce "realise" and unless you have a slur, there's a z distinctly in there. Unless it's pronounced differently over there haha. Also, "colour" would be pronounced "kolore" if we pronounced it with that spelling. :)

Are you actually being serious? I guess America invented ENGlish then.
..But hold on a second! IF everything is spelled as said, why don't you pronounce the K in "knowledge"?

Hey, don't look at us. We didn't invent the language. And no, I'm not being (completely) serious. As for knowledge, I know (haha), it makes no sense! Spelling that as nawledge or noledge (depending on accent) just looks nasty.

I used to play the GT games on the PS1 all the time and loved them, but when I bought Prologue, I didnt enjoy it at all. Cant place my finger on why - it just seemed to be more of an accurate simulation of driving a car than a game.

If you were playing on default physics, then you didn't even get the full simulation. But you see, that's the whole point to this game, that it is very much a simulation. You get to drive cars that otherwise you may never have the chance to, and tune them to your heart's content. The game aspects of this include multiplayer, online, obtaining licenses, and advancing through the various events/collecting prize money/expanding your garage...

a lot of people are gonna hate me for this but GT just seems souless and boring. Ive always like the music. but it puts me to sleep now. Just recently playing the game. I realized how much it isnt a simulator. I had a srt10 viper and on a straight u had an evo and a 1 series keeping up with me. and doing 160mph in this game looks like your barely moving. this game is void of any sense of speed.

And getting into it why cant i hear my engine more??? if you heard half of these cars in real life you'd realize how muted they sound in this game. Hate me if you want but i grew up with and loved GT 1-2 hell its how i learned how to drive. but now as a game its just boring. and please spare me of the "you want a burnout or NFS" cause thats not what im saying at 160 crowd should be a blur and the spotted lines should look more like a 1 long line....but it doesnt you can actually almost count them

Just like God of war 3, haven't you realized that they just want to build up hype so people refuse to buy X360 Arvades this holiday season, they want to call the attention to their "TBA Release date games"
