LEGO: X-Men, that's what I want next!
you could have hella fun with all the mutant powers.

They could easily run the LEGO series into the ground, but as long as they keep it funny I say keep them coming.

The video games that have come out already have Lego licensing anyway, including Harry Potter.

Are these Lego games even any good? By the amount of whoring, you'd think it'd be popular.

Yes, they are very good. I've played every one and I still enjoy them. Also, a great game for kids and wives.

yeah, unless you're 12 or under, i'd avoid it. these are more for the wii's target audience. try a demo if you must.

I am in the upper 20s and love the Lego games. Disregard the guy talking about for those 12 and under. Lego Batman has a demo, so check it out. All 3 of them pretty much play the same, with obvious differences with the story being told. I love them. I saw Lego Indy at Target for 14 bucks, so try target and you may get it for cheap. The Star Wars Complete Series is now also 20 bucks MSRP, so they are cheap and they hold many hours of gaming. Replay is high until you find everything, but then pack them away for the kids, so says I.

I'd actually like to see Lego incarnations of other games like:

Lego Tomb Raider, Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden, Prince of Persia, or *gasp* LittleBIGPlanet!

Hell no! You know how weird it would be to play a blocky FPS? It be like playing the super nintendo. Maybe third person but FPS wouldn't work.

I don't really mind, but I know this will bring lots of joy to little ones and families that buy the game. I've actually enjoyed all of the Harry Potter games that have come out over the years. They seem to have more production value than the standard movie-to-game adaptation. Play Chamber of Secrets for Gameboy or GBA and you'll see what I mean. Oh, the good old days...

I Don't doubt it, the Lego games have fared well and Harry Potter has quite a big fanbase. I think it'd work well.

my only issue is that this will further cement the idea that harry potter is a children's series into everyone's minds; something I wholeheartedly protest. I'd applaud any child who understands the latter half of the series.

with that said, "Accio!"

i highly doubt it. think about it, right now you can buy a HP game for every movie that has come out, and they follow the plots extremely closely. if they made lego versions, it would basically be like putting a mask on a game that has been out for a long time already. at least the lego games up until now have been the first of their kinds in terms of giving you the ability to essentially play through your favorite movies

I really like the two Lego Star Wars games. I'm 32 and those brought back fond memories of my childhood when SW was THE rage and Lego too (before they had those crappy Bionicle toys).

But I think they're seriously overdoing the licensing crap, both in terms of toys and video games. When I was a kid, there was Lego Knights, Lego City and Lego Space and everything else we built ourselves. Heck, we even made our own Lego He-Man :) Nowadays you just go out and buy the latest playset for the latest movie franchise. Makes me sad.

I am SO tired of these. I thought it was a novel idea, but how many of these do we need? It's the same concepts and same gameplay over and over and over again.

These are really the Tony Halk games of the past generation.

It'll happen, and it will work pretty good. 7 sections, for the 7 Harry Potter books. Should space out quite well.

The only other licensed product LEGO current has is Sponge Bob, so maybe that's next instead. They had Spider-man for the first movie, but Mega Blocks has the overall Marvel license. And as much as the LEGO fanboys would go gaga over the old Space or Castle themes, a Lego owned property won't sell. Anyone play Bionicle the Video Game?

Hey maybe I am crazy here... but personally I'd like a Lego Lego game... over the past decades the Lego line has had some pretty inventive worlds... it would be nice to see a game that features those.

A lego harry potter actually wouldn't be that bad. I personally prefer Lego Star Wars over any of the other Lego games, mainly because being able to use the force to mess with Legos was fun. Thats what Lego batman and indiana jones lacked. With harry potter you'd be able to use magic which is similiar to the force, meaning the gameplay could be pretty good.

"Milking it" suggests that the quality of the games go down, but all of the LEGO games play pretty much the same. It's a pretty hard concept to screw up.

Because of the recent buy-out by Warner Bros there won't be any non-Warner licence from now on...
So won't be LegoSpiderman or LegoHalo (at least now), BUT there will be LegoLOTR probably around the Hobbits films. Or maybe LegoMatrix...

I thought LEGO Batman sucked; however, that's only because they tried to develop their own very poor storyline. If they stick to the movies that everyone knows and loves, it would be amazing.

Bring on LOTR, Harry Potter, X-Men, Pirates of the Caribbean, Back to the Future, etc!

This actually sounds like a good idea.

Lego Indy got boring because everything was just focused on punching and kicking since no one had special powers, a la lightsabers and the force in Lego SW.
