This reminds me of Total Recall, when my dear guv is in that goofy fat broad disguise, and keeps saying "two weeks" over and over.

But instead with this, it's "threeeee monthsss, threeeeeeeeeeeeee mooooonnnnnnnnthhhhs" (or more)

It's fair to blame the developer. Online is utterly and horribly broken. It's pathetic. It was one of the main selling points. They released a broken product. Sure, it was $15, but like you say, they're a small dev, so they made good dough on this. Apparently they don't have the spine to bring on help to fix it.

How on earth did Joystiq's comment get this effing broken again for crissakes. Goddammit. I know you guys aren't to blame, but somebody needs to get their act together. It was better for awhile, and now it's back to being garbage.

Was meant to be a reply to Time, who says the developers aren't to blame, yet is waiting for the patch that'll fix the issues. Also BS.

There is no excuse for releasing such a crippled game in the first place, but by the time they get the patch up no one will care anymore. If the patch magically came tomorrow, it wouldn't matter; many of us have already moved on.

I will forever now give serious scrutiny to the very concept of potentially purchasing anything from Behemoth or anything else involving Tom Fulp.

This is really sad since the developers have made some good games, and the little I've played of Castle Crashers was fun. But it's sad that not only is this game broken, but it's been months and their is still no patch.
It is no excuse that The Behemoth is a small company. If there were problems with the game, the wise choice would have been to delay this game in order to fix the bugs.

I think the game is great but the fact that it ereases my game info pretty much every time pretty much ruins the game.

The phrase "game crippling bug" comes to mind.

Pretty crappy of them to screw us around like this for 2 months. I know they are small but if you can't fix things like this then maybe you shouldn't be making video games.

Now that I've read the X3F article, this post on Joystiq is a bit mis-reading.

We heard a while ago that they submitted to MS certification, and that still appears to be the hold-up. Per the X3F article that this Joystiq article refers to:

"Sadly, we can't get into details about the certification process, but we've resolved the game's issues with data loss and networking in addition to other bugs."

I can't pay my child support because I'm unemployed. Sadly, I can't get into details about my re-employment process. But I've worked out the issues with paying my bills, in my head.

This is a shameful situation. I have moved on from CC and The Behemoth altogether, never once having tried online play. It was clearly not worth the risk. This story brought it all back to light. 3 months! Ludicrous. If MS is to blame for dragging their feet on certification on a promptly delivered patch, then I want details and confirmation from credible sources. "We can't talk about it" is not nearly good enough.
