Trailer: Uncharted 2 revealed

Heya Nathan. Long time no see! Looks like Uncharted 2 is REAL. Check out the frosty new setting in the teaser trailer, after the break. Then, tune into the Spike TV Video Game Awards on December 14th at 9PM to catch the full debut trailer.

But wait, there's more! Game Informer's January issue will also feature Uncharted 2 -- and they're calling it: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. According to GI, the sequel will involve the 13th century explorer Marco Polo and his voyages. New mechanics in the sequel include a free climbing mechanic and stealth gameplay. Whoa. I cant wait for this!

i hope they improve the shooting mechanic cuz i hated it in the first one. Maybe i should by a ps3 now.

Not to be an ass when I say this, but how do you suggest they improve the shooting mechanic? Go 3rd person/1st person like MGS?

Yeah, I don't know what the eff he's complaining about...the cover mechanic worked great for the most part (or maybe my memory is terrible).

i have to agree with jajaes. Now i was able to beat the game at the hardest difficulty, and unlocked everything, but the lock on feature or aim assist seems to work inconsistently. Sometimes it follows the target, and sometimes it doesn't. I like how it works in resistance 2 and cod 4, though. I know this is a third person shooter, but shooter is still about aiming, so it would help if they tighten the aiming more.

Oh, yeah! Freaking loved the first game (three play-throughs for me). Can't wait to see more of Nathan Drake and Sullivan.

Though number four will probably come the week before Among Thieves is released!

Uncharted might still be my favorite PS3 game so far. Hope this one steps it up even higher.

Look at how Halo is being spread too thin. First making an rts in the Halo universe and then making an expansion pack to Halo and trying to call it a game. As for Gears, there's Quantum Theory in 2009. I shudder to wonder what kind of Gears product will be furiously squeezed and plopped out once Gears 3 is done.

What about finishing the game at the highest difficulty level? I got all the trophies except that one, and it was just waaaaay too overwhelming so I gave up on the last trophy :(

Anyway, Uncharted 2 is awesome news indeed.

Not to say I'm not excited by this news, but was I the only one who saw the picture and thought he wasn't dressed well enough? He's in snowy mountains, and wearing the same thing he wore in the tropical climate. What gives? But free climbing does sound nice... This may be a day one purchase for me, too.

Well, it could be after that train crash on the magazine cover. Wounded, he could have been captured or didn't expect to be going to colder climates.

Hopefully it will have online multiplayer.

God No!!! This game does not need online multi-player, I can not even think what they would do with multiplayer for a game like this. Online Co-op MAYBE, but thats a big maybe.

2 teams hunting for treasure, using platforming and key environmental structures to hold onto a base. I'm sure many more ideas could be thought of. Plus since you don't like multiplayer, you wouldn't forced to play it.

Didn't say that I don't like online multiplayer. This game is the type of game that would support online multiplayer well. I am for online co-op story mode ala R2. I mean some of the missions in the first game you had Elena with you why not have that second person fighting through the chapters with you. Gears 2 does it

not support is what I meant. The gameplay is not conducive to it.

Awesome. This was game of the year 2007 :D
So happy that a sequel is on the making :D
