Video: Epic Prince of Persia gameplay
19
It has been far too long since the last time we focused in on Prince of Persia gameplay and, thankfully, today Ubisoft released a new "Epic Gameplay Montage" trailer that's, well ... epic! Set to an epic musical track, you'll witness the Prince of Persia swing, leap and climb through danger and hopefully prove to you why he's the acrobatic Prince you should be plopping $59 on. Did we mention the music is epic? Because it is.

I already pre-ordered this game, it looks sooo awesome, and I really want to try it!!
The trailer looks amazing btw
On Gamespot you can now watch a PoP marathon, showing the entire game or something... I stopped watching because I wanted to find out everything myself ;)
Heres the link though:

does anyone else think that he looks like a homeless guy with a machete? and yea whats with the ultra-unrealistly-fast attack animations where he not only swings the sword way too fast, but momentarily floats in the air afterwards as if saying to gravity, "kiss my royal ass"...... this looks like some jprg on persian-steroids

yea well which idea sounds better to you, a game trying to take itself utterly serious yet retaining animations from a 2-year-old generation of games (POP)? or a game that knows full well it is a kiddy, campy, creative mess with the full intention of putting in the same kind of animation and old-school feel (castle crashers)? you tell me. one cost millions upon millions to make while attempting to "advance" an established franchise, the other costs a fraction to make while trying to bring fresh ideas to an established genre in the form of a fun campy IP.
oh and wait, how many times has the prince changed its look and feel in hopes of "refreshing" the franchise? gimme a break

I've been playing this game for a few hours now and I cant say it is how I expected it to be. Previous one was much more fun and enjoyable. So, think twice before getting this one

If you expected a combat heavy experience like the previous games, then yeah, you'd be disappointed. This game is enjoyable, and that's what games are first and foremost supposed to be right? Entertainment?

Reminds me of what a Fremen warrior would look like in action.

Anyone know the name of the soundtrack? If it's not from the game.

PLEASE: What is the name of the song used in the Trailer -it is not from the game's soundtrack... Is it from/by "Immediate Music"? Or another production/composing house like them?
Thanks & Merry Christmas!
