And depending on how much you enjoyed Treyarch's first-person war-em-up, you might feel the same way. Speaking to MTV Multiplayer, Call of Duty: World at War executive Daniel Suarez teased the game's upcoming DLC, which is to be formally announced in 2009. Activision hopes to improve on the relatively modest DLC released for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare by creating "potentially two, maybe three packs" before everyone's reeled in by the next CoD.
When prodded for specifics about Codwaw dee elsee, Suarez noted, "It's not going to be what we've done traditionally. I'll leave it a little bit mysterious." Ooh! You know what would be radically untraditional? Releasing a few maps for free!
We're just saying.

And if they're anything like COD4's DLC multiplayer maps, they'll sell thousands of them and players will veto them every time they come up in the play list.

Bullcrap. Unless they're released in the next 6 months we'll never see them. In 6 months time we'll see marketing for COD6 and Activision won't want the old crap to be taking attention (and possible future sales) away from COD6.
Remember COD4? Biggest online game ever, fastest selling DLC ever, and yet as soon as COD5 was announced all support was abandoned for it to keep the old product out of the press.
DLC and Sequels don't mix, like oil and water they are.

Unless DLC is announced to be compatable.
DLC and Sequels mix. Rock Band 2 is the perfect example of that.
However, this isn't happening with the CoD franchise, unsuprisignly.

cheapo- when did activision say that there would be 2-3 DLC releases for cod4?
i dont remember that happening.
now this was said to us...
if they release only 1 map pack before cod6 then they lied...
if they release more DLC then they told the truth.
we will have to see.

A couple of DLC packs would be nice. Some more maps of course, but also more zombie maps (letting people play as the zombies a la L4D would be cool) and maybe more weapons. Also, more CoD4 stuff would be nice too. Plenty of people still play it.

COD: Modern Warfare and Free maps for it? I haven't played that game in awhile but is there still peeps online playing it seeing the new COD:world at war is out and a hot seller?
I can't believe how fast these COD series are coming out. I can't keep up. New Guns and Maps would be nice if they could add a flame thrower =)

a d-day map would be awesome, like one team storms the beach and the other gets the top. i know that this game doesn't include those battles, but you know every one wants a map like that
