Princess of Persia plays dress-up as Jade from Beyond Good & Evil

Given the close working relationship between the Prince of Persia team and Jade Raymond's Assassin's Creed group at Ubisoft Montreal, our first thought upon hearing this news was that Ubisoft included a Jade Raymond skin for Elika in the latest PoP. It actually turns out to be – as Destructoid has discovered – a freebie that "tranforms" the Prince's sidekick into Jade, the lead character from the underrated platformer Beyond Good & Evil.

The Jade skin is obtained simply by finishing the game, which goes on sale today. Creating an account on Ubisoft's site and registering your copy also provides an unlock for the Prince's previously revealed Altaïr (Assassin's Creed) costume. Considering that we've seen neither hide nor ~~hair~~ swine of Ubi's BG&E sequel since it was announced earlier this year, we'll consider this a consolation gift for the delay. (And, hopefully, proof that Ubisoft hasn't forgotten about the game.)

I do, however, want more news on BG&E2. Come on Ubisoft. I want that game.

Instead of describing it as a "Jade skin", it would be more accurate to call it "Jade's clothing", since the character pictured is still Elika.

I don't think you can really call BG&E "underrated" as it was a critical darling. It just didn't sell well. Wouldn't that be "underperforming"?

Just went over to Ubisoft's website. Kind of disheartening that they don't even show Beyond Good and Evil as an option in their "which Ubisoft games do you own" list, while some of their other "gems" are still listed.

Yeah....So, in Beyond Good & Evil, I really do not remember Jade being this slutty. In fact I'm certain she isn't. I pray this isn't a sign of a game gone awry. Let's just hope Beyond Good & Evil 2 awes us all.

Flat bellies are awesome I just find it funny that video games don't represent women in other ways (i.e having a little gut). lol so yea don't crucify me.

I think in order to have a belly dancing stomach, a woman needs to have an actual belly, hence the name. I've never seen a belly dancer with a flat stomach. Maybe you're thinking pole dancer?

So... why do you have to create an account on Ubisoft's website for the Altair version? So they have your date of birth information for their profiling and marketing teams?

Seriously, what's up with that? I'm hoping that it'll be a universal unlock code that will be up on GameFAQs pretty quickly.

On a related note, Play.com are selling a version that allows you to play with The Sands of Time Prince and Farah costumes.... i pre-ordered this one... but again, how do i know that these aren't available in every version of the game? I'd bet that they are but this seems pretty stupid considering the play version is the same price as other versions...
