Are these random ads broken or something? I just get a black screen now whenever they appear, so I can't even close it out without having to reload Joystiq.
snapa @ Dec 3rd 2008 6:41PM
RomeoDude @ Dec 3rd 2008 7:09PM
Same. The ads are annoying and the close button doesn't seem to work.
NwrksBigBoss @ Dec 3rd 2008 7:34PM
those ads are really annoying, maybe if a lot more people complain Joystiq wont let there advertisers put up broken pop ups again.
deddyluger @ Dec 3rd 2008 7:37PM
Adblock Plus
Robert @ Dec 3rd 2008 6:30PM
Classic Collection, High School Musical, That E.R. Surgeon Game, Shaun White Snowboarding, Mario Galaxy, Wii Music, Sports Game. Wow, it's entirely evident I don't use my Wii much.
Michelobius @ Dec 3rd 2008 6:33PM
I've got:
Mario Galaxy
Super Smash Bros.
Trauma Center
Disaster: Day of Crisis(maybe?)
Cooking Mama(maybe?)
Wii Music
Mario Baseball (maybe?)
offday @ Dec 3rd 2008 6:37PM
No, the last one is definitely some high school musical game. That line is straight from one of the songs.
Michelobius @ Dec 3rd 2008 6:39PM
Oh. Yeah, the comment above me is probs a lot more accurate than mine.
Doug @ Dec 3rd 2008 6:49PM
Mario prefers it stirred, not shaken. I thought it might have been Wario Land Shake It. Maybe not...
BPMOmega [gamertag] @ Dec 3rd 2008 7:16PM
Disaster can't be in that list, since it still isn't released in America.
BunnySlapper @ Dec 3rd 2008 6:37PM
By design. Joystiq can't let content get in the way of trying to make money off of intrusive and irritating advertisements.
I'm honestly curious though, who clicks on these bullshit ads and actually buys something?
Markez @ Dec 3rd 2008 10:35PM
Such is the case with all internet advertising. They're either just aiming for continual brand reinforcement, or the 1% of people who actually click on internet advertising.
Ordeith @ Dec 4th 2008 12:17AM
I just avoid businesses who advertise like that (although Blogspot is reposnsible for even makeing the spots available)..
Thanks to Joystiq I won't buy HP Computers, I won't shop at Best Buy, and I won't buy Samsung Phones.
I think they also want me to avoid purchasing a certain pen but I need to see the add a few more times to be sure,.

-slycooper_rocker- (lorddshadow the amazing) psn: shahanasalam @ Dec 3rd 2008 6:50PM
oh and #3. so 6-10 is high school musical. 3-6 is wii music. and 3 is ?
dantebk @ Dec 3rd 2008 6:45PM
My guesses:
6AM-8AM: Remember the good ol' days?
Some kind of Arcade Museum compilation game probably
8AM-10AM Kind of like being a part of the Mickey Mouse club.
No idea
10AM-1PM: Who needs medical school?
Trauma Center
1PM-2PM: No need to worry about avalanches.
Shaun White Snowboarding
2PM-3PM: Mario prefers it stirred, not shaken.
Wario Land: Shake It
3PM-6PM: Now your Mii can boogie to the beat.
Wii Music
6PM-10PM: You gotta get'cha, get'cha, get'cha, get'cha head in the game
No idea, but other posters think it's High School Musical -- is there really a game based on that?
BPMOmega [gamertag] @ Dec 3rd 2008 7:34PM
Hmm... I think choices for the first one include:
-Metal Slug Anthology
-NamcoMuseum Remix
-SNK Arcade Classics
Sora @ Dec 3rd 2008 8:20PM
There's multiple games based on High School Musical.
CTC XBL-supapaypamawio PSN-ctclaw @ Dec 3rd 2008 6:48PM
The last one is High School Musical, which sucks because it looks like we're getting 2 Disney games. Oh well, I never expect much from these, that way I am pleasantly surprised when it's something good.
rodjoh @ Dec 3rd 2008 7:00PM
* 6AM-8AM: Remember the good ol' days?
Prolly some sort of classic colection or remake like Space Invaders Extreme.
* 8AM-10AM Kind of like being a part of the Mickey Mouse club.
Disney Sing It?
* 10AM-1PM: Who needs medical school?
Trauma Center or that other game that looks like it.
* 1PM-2PM: No need to worry about avalanches.
We Ski or any snowboarding game.
* 2PM-3PM: Mario prefers it stirred, not shaken.
Warioland Shake it?
* 3PM-6PM: Now your Mii can boogie to the beat.
It could be Wii Music, but it could also be DDR Hottest Party 2.
* 6PM-10PM: You gotta get'cha, get'cha, get'cha, get'cha head in the game
High School Musical fo sure, but it could also mean something else. But I'm sticking with HSM.
Moptimus Slime @ Dec 3rd 2008 7:01PM
Mickey Mouse Club= Celebrity Sports Showdown?
I mean, it is a GOTY contender after all
etcrane @ Dec 3rd 2008 7:04PM
Uh guys ... are you sure the 2-3 pm deal isn't Quantum of Solace for the Wii? You know ... martini's shaken not stirred ... Bond ... etc? Just a thought ...
Donald @ Dec 3rd 2008 7:43PM
Quantam of Solace came out on the Wii? When?
Also, the hint mentions Mario.
Evan @ Dec 3rd 2008 10:20PM
I think it's Bond too. What does "stirred" have to do with the other suggested option - Wario Land?
Parsnipzilla @ Dec 3rd 2008 7:26PM
CLUB PENGUIN is the second one?
Lone Starr @ Dec 3rd 2008 7:31PM
How do so many of you know the lyrics to High School Musical songs?
Moschetto @ Dec 3rd 2008 7:44PM
Mickey Mouse Club = code for Club Nintendo
tmmoore_nc @ Dec 3rd 2008 7:45PM
I'm guessing 6-8am is a Wii Points Card deal.
Oh Hey? @ Dec 3rd 2008 8:16PM
No what disturbs me most, how many people recognized the lyrics to High School Musical, but only a 1 person so far has picked up "stirred not shaken" as being a signature line from the bond series (Quantum of Solas Movie and Game have been recently released)
RDX @ Dec 3rd 2008 8:27PM
The Bond phrase is "shaken, not stirred" so the reason no one mentioned it is because it's not actually the Bond line you say it is.
Mohulis @ Dec 3rd 2008 10:33PM
What RDX said.
Aaron @ Dec 4th 2008 2:15AM
6-8: Namco Museum Remix. Pretty sure of it.
8-10: Disney Sing It. The clue was tricky, but that would be my best guess.
10-1: Trauma Center or maybe Pet Pals: Animal Doctor.
1-2: Shaun White seems too new; my bet is SSXBlur. It came out a while ago and didn't sell well.
2-3: Wario Land: Shake it. Mario prefers it stirred, Wario prefers Shaken. Dumb clue.
3-6: Boogie. Wii Music is possible, but it's too new, it's 1st party, and it's Nintendo's premier holiday game.
6:10: Without a doubt, High School Musical.
