Why would they make sequels to their best selling franchises?

That's a stupid idea.

Love call of duty but never picked up or will a guitar hero game. I just can't get into them. I'm stoked for call of duty 6 but am a little worried how they are going to keep it fresh.

Don't they need to first make Call of Duty 5 and Guitar Hero 4? I imagine that Call of Duty 5 would focus on a future war and that Guitar Hero 4 would ignore all this singing and drumming nonsense that's become popular in the last year or so.

no, CoD World at War=Cod World at War
If you hadn't noticed, there've been a bunch of non-numbered CoD games, mostly not made by Infinity Ward

I think the most appropriate part of this clip is that after all the disasters that just kept getting worse and worse...Drebin stands in front of the crowd stating "Nothing to see here."

So true.

I guess I should've been more clear that I was impressed that you view Drebin as either the Activision or the Press.

Wow; this post made my day. Then I scrolled down to say so, and when clicking Returning I got a face full of black, had to scroll all the way back up, stop the annoying ad, click the close button a million times until I just got fed up with it not actually closing and hit refresh.

Seriously guys, f*** your ads.

Seriously Tez,
Firefox: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/
with Ad-Block Plus: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865

why complain, when you can solve it yourself?

Yeah; not a problem when I'm home, but unfortunately I can't solve the problem myself at work. :(

This is the first time I've experienced these page-filling overlay ads. Probably the worst form of ad, completely counter-productive. I don't even remember what the ad was for so good job failing, Joystiq. And then the close links not working to top it off. Man. I guess I'll find other blogs for worktime.

We had the ad pulled again – unfortunately, we don't determine what ads run on our site (including interstitials). However, if they're not working we can get them removed. Please let us know if an ad isn't working for you by going here: http://www.joystiq.com/contact/tips/

If you use ad block then Joystiq gets no ad revenue. If everyone uses adblock then Joystiq goes down.

Do Joystiq get revenue if we see the adverts but don't click them?

I'm pretty sure a bigger company like Joystiq's parent gets paid up front and not per-click like us peons with our Google Adsense.
