I'll take some more Call of Duty, but not Guitar Hero.

Don't they need to first make Call of Duty 5 and Guitar Hero 4? I imagine that Call of Duty 5 would focus on a future war and that Guitar Hero 4 would ignore all this singing and drumming nonsense that's become popular in the last year or so.

See, they are just "speculating" what they want in said games.

Wow; this post made my day. Then I scrolled down to say so, and when clicking Returning I got a face full of black, had to scroll all the way back up, stop the annoying ad, click the close button a million times until I just got fed up with it not actually closing and hit refresh.
Seriously guys, f*** your ads.

Seriously Tez,
Firefox: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/
with Ad-Block Plus: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865
why complain, when you can solve it yourself?

Yeah; not a problem when I'm home, but unfortunately I can't solve the problem myself at work. :(
This is the first time I've experienced these page-filling overlay ads. Probably the worst form of ad, completely counter-productive. I don't even remember what the ad was for so good job failing, Joystiq. And then the close links not working to top it off. Man. I guess I'll find other blogs for worktime.

We had the ad pulled again – unfortunately, we don't determine what ads run on our site (including interstitials). However, if they're not working we can get them removed. Please let us know if an ad isn't working for you by going here: http://www.joystiq.com/contact/tips/

If you use ad block then Joystiq gets no ad revenue. If everyone uses adblock then Joystiq goes down.

I remember a time when game developers only had one chance to make a game good. Please, no more Call of Duty.

Ooh, Activision, it's funny because you're so transparent.
