Man, what a bad idea. It's products like this that make me wish I could be a fly on the wall during the sales pitch to corporate.

Then I would morph into a sort of half-fly, half-man creature (think Jeff Goldblum) and devour the fools who came up with this garbage before it was made.

I would charge a consulting fee for my services on the premise that I just saved the company a lot of wasted time and money. It's a win-win-win situation.

no need to, unless you want to waste your money.

Do you know about shovelware? about the most cheap ones? those with known names (though I don't know anyone from that list) pasted on the titles to sell more.

It's probably not even worth knowing about this one coming up, but it's too late now >_>

Nice, I was indeed looking for a good new racing simulator for the Wii.

And, after visiting the oficial site, I'll keep on looking. I don't need to buy a second Mario Kart.
... specially when there's no JP Montoya on the game.

The fact that it is not called NASKART/NASCART proves it wont be good.

EA really should've made this a mode within the full Nascar game.

The key to success is combining both options in one package. Casual gamers get to play karts, while non-casual gamers get their full game. Everyone wins. It might even transition some casual gamers into the more advanced regular game.

Release a game like this separately, however, is just a poor decision.

okay, you guys seem to think that anything "kiddish" is automatically bad. What if this comes out and its the best game for the Wii? I know it wont, but what if? You gotta give it a chance. Sure, it might not be what were looking for, but atleast EA is trying. They probably dont have NASCAR on the wii yet because of: A) the graphics B) the game engine isnt out for wii (or is it?) C) as said, it is kinda more for hardcore gamers. Oh, and its a racing game, one which absolutly NEEDS an analog stick. And the wii only has one, without a button. The wiimote doesnt have enough buttons. Bottom line, I'm giving it a try, and you should too. BTW, if you were real nascar fans, you wouldnt care that its a cartoon game.........

I was with you on giving "kiddish" games a chance, up until you started trying to rationalize why they might not have a good, real NASCAR game on Wii.

A: In what way does "the graphics" prevent a NASCAR game from being released on Wii?

B: Unless there's a specific legal problem with the NASCAR organization in bringing the engine to Wii, they could always just make one tmeselves if they needed it. I mean, they ARE a gaming company right? Isn't stuff like that what they're supposed to do?

C: And? The existance of this website isn't proof enough that there might be some demand for a serious racer on Wii?

Oh, and a racing game only really needs one control stick, an accelerator, a brake, and some manual gear dhift buttons. Wiimote+nunchuck should be just fine.

I'm all for giving a kart game a shot, but I wish they would've just created some original characters and such that actually fit the "cartoony" atmoshpere, rather than clearly-not-cartoony real NASCAR drivers. It's not about "kiddish" vs. "hardcore"; it's about consistant styles, which this does NOT have.
