Gay as in homosexual and gas as in lame. So in my opinion Fall Out Boy is a very GAY group. Hope I cleared that up for you.

I totally agree with this. If you don't like them, good for you, stfu. Artist of the month has absolutely no effect on any of you what so ever.

Except some people have genuinely bad taste in music, and those people deserve to be mocked and ridiculed.

I agree completely with Fx.Dr... and would add that in general most gamers have fucking terrible taste in music.

I base that entirely on anecdotal evidence collected via conversations on xbox live and comments on music-related posts on videogame blogs, but will stand by the statement 100%.

I also found this news interesting and worth reading, as I didn't know they had a CD coming out. So suck it.

I keep forgetting they pushed the CD back. I'm always disappointed when I walk into Best Buy and see it's sold out. Oh, I forgot Norma Jean, too. One of the best releases of the year.

So when someone expresses dislike of something that you like... they're automagically dickheads? As far as I can see there's only one commenter who said that what they produce is not music, a single commenter, who was being just as huffy as you are. I think everyone understands that to get signed to a major label obviously requires a degree of technical skill, clearly they are musicians. No, our gripe is more with the quality of the music they pump out. It's heavily produced commercial pop-punk. If that's your thing, fine, but don't get pissed when people aren't into commercial pop, most adults aren't.

And let me ask you... better than what? A group of people who have differing opinions on music, and specifically a rather low opinion of a band you're into? I fail to see how us not liking Fall Out Boy has anything to do with the amount of respect gamers do or do not deserve, please explain.

And for the record, before you rip me a new one please just know that I caught the music bug when i was 14 and have been obsessed ever since. 16 years later I've got over 1,000 albums between LP and CD, and can more than double that number if you want to include my MP3 collection. I don't restrict myself to genres either; I'm sorry but you'll find you can't blame my dislike of Fall Out Boy on anything other than the work they've produced.

No. I'm not a Fall Out Boy fan. I thought I made that clear by saying "And it's not because I'm a Fall Out Boy fan" but I can see how that could be misconstrued.

And even if there was only one person who said they aren't musicians, there were a good ten or twelve who called them "gay" or "homosexual" or whatever the hell else. That's what got me.
