Force Unleashed, Vigilante 8, GRID get new DLC

We're far too broke to even think about picking some of these up, but what about you, team? By the way, we'd expect to see at least some of this on PSN today. We'll let you know.

So for $10 USD I get ONE new mission?
You know, I do like this game. I DO NOT like its DLC.
Lord Negatron @ Dec 4th 2008 11:35AM
Hmm $10 for level or about $5 for 2 new toons??
*weighs hands out side to side*
Zoinks! I would need to go buy SW Unleashed first eh? That makes sense.
**not saying its a bad game, but i walked in on friend playing it, the dumb motherfather let me watch 98% of the ending scene before sayin,"Oh i beat it...This is the end." Lets just say the game kinda lost its luster to me at that moment.
Snowblind @ Dec 4th 2008 12:01PM
The mission pack also comes with a skin pack, I don't remember all of the contents, but Qui-Gon Jin and Mace Windu are amongst them (basically a bunch of Jedi Masters).
But I still think they're charging us a bit much just for new skins. If they had no moves, or at least animations it would have been something.. But seeing Luke Skywalker using the "gangster" lightsaber style just doesn't work.
Plus the game itself wasn't really good enough to warrent spending more money on.
Arttemis @ Dec 4th 2008 1:45PM
Seriously, they should at least give us acess to the *animations* that the bosses use, or make a free DLC pack to play as the bosses already in the game.
DLC packs with nothing but 10 skins for $5 is retarded, and until there are additional animations brought in, I can't even consider it.
Also, wtf - $10 for a new level? If they added a local versus mode, I'd consider that too.
MowDownJoe @ Dec 4th 2008 11:35AM
More cars for Vigilante 8? Nice... I'll buy it when I see more people playing it on Live.
OneTheyCallGSK @ Dec 4th 2008 11:39AM
You know, it might be helpful to know which of the three games you were talking about.
As for me, I had really high hopes for Vigilante 8, being one of the original players. I got completely "turned off" by the game when I found out you had to turn right, for example, to stop turning left. It sucks too, because V8 Arcade had good potential, but that one small flaw doesn't really make it fun, or playable.

GRID is actually a pretty bad ass racer if you can find it on the cheap.
pat1202003 @ Dec 4th 2008 12:26PM
SWEET! A GRID ADD ON!! ALRIGHT!!! They are adding some pretty cool cars in this add on like the Evo X!
The Dark Wayne @ Dec 4th 2008 12:41PM
well, my gamertag is Mandalorian63, and my entire profile is actually written in Mandalorian so you can probably tell that I'm just chomping at the bit to play as Jango Fett or a clone trooper.
Maurice M @ Dec 4th 2008 12:52PM
High price on most DLC is still very high prices... 4srs
Tiptup300 @ Dec 4th 2008 1:27PM
What's up with V8? I played the trial and it's NOTHING like the original other then the basic gameplay. The menu's are all different, the physics are all ffffecked up, the way you setup rounds is just confusing, and overall the game just feels like it has lost all it's personality.
Arttemis @ Dec 4th 2008 1:37PM
Good god, the prices for SW:tFU DLC is unfuckingbelievably overpriced. Two $5 packs of skins, and $10 for one level with a few more skins - and they don't even tell you what they are?
If they released all 3 packs for $10, I'd consider it, but this is retarded.
GhostofGrendel @ Dec 4th 2008 2:01PM
yeah, this DLC is getting pretty insane. I liked SWFU and I would like the expansion, but my gawd where do you draw the line? A few expansions and I could have bought the game all over again. Or even better a new game. It's getting out of hand quick. How many developers are specifically leaving things out so they can charge you again in a couple of months for things that would have been in the game without access to DLC? $60 for the game and another $20, $30 or $40 for the rest of the game you should have had anyways. I'm real tired of this business model.
ComicShaman @ Dec 4th 2008 5:05PM
Well, the trick here is not to buy it. This is the only clear way to tell a company that what they're doing isn't going to work.
It's up to them at that point to say either "We need to drop the price on our DLC," or to conclude "DLC doesn't sell." The latter, I think, would be a hasty conclusion--I have bought other DLC that has been reasonably priced.
But yeah, the DLC for The Force Unleashed is much too expensive for me to be interested. Even if it was a great core game... which it isn't.
Premature ejaculation man @ Dec 5th 2008 12:14AM
I still think Crackdown's DLC expansion was the best. New modes for single player and coop, new weapons, new vehicles and witht he free expansion at the same time, it had even more new modes.
Halwende @ Dec 4th 2008 2:46PM
The Evo X and the Nissan GTR in GRID?! Oh hell yes
