Layton leads Japanese software charts
"Luke, why don't you solve this one? Correctly order the following games in terms of their sales in Japan this week."
"Okay professor. I think I've got it!"
"I used two hints: M-Create and Gamasutra."
"My boy, I'm so disappointed with you. To the corner with you!"
"Aww, Professor! For how long do I stay there?"
"Well, I've got three riddles for you ..."

Well played

Professor Layton was a good game. I approve of this post.
StarFoxA @ Dec 4th 2008 6:18PM
I demand more Professor Layton for the US.
Phillip @ Dec 4th 2008 6:45PM
I agree. When's the second one coming out already?
sam @ Dec 4th 2008 6:20PM
Now, Luke, why the f*** hasn't the second game come out in English yet?
Mr Khan @ Dec 4th 2008 6:22PM
Professor Layton can't solve that, unless he uses the cop-out of calling NoA lazy
Which might very well be, but the truth is probably a bit more complicated than that
Pedobear @ Dec 4th 2008 7:35PM
NoA is lazy.
Sora @ Dec 4th 2008 6:24PM
Wow, that's 80% handheld games...
me @ Dec 4th 2008 7:41PM
and mostly Sony,,,,

Nicely done, Ross.
I'm confused by #5, though... A Yu-Gi-Oh! game based off of GX now in the top 10? Didn't that series end a while ago? Isn't it now about playing children's card games on motorcycles (YGO! 5D's)? A re-release, or a late cash-in on the last anime series?
Mr Khan @ Dec 4th 2008 7:17PM
Is it a new release, though?
BPMOmega [gamertag] @ Dec 4th 2008 7:44PM
Okay, I just found out (on Kotaku) that it's GX: Tag Force 3, which IS a new release.
Still find it odd the setting of the game is GX and not Cards on Bikes.
-slycooper_rocker- (lorddshadow the amazing) psn: shahanasalam @ Dec 4th 2008 8:08PM
because GX isn't totally and completely gay?
ApolloIV @ Dec 6th 2008 12:07AM
Because Nintendo wanted to abuse the DS part of 5'DS?
BlackBeltJones @ Dec 4th 2008 6:41PM
"Prostitute 4 is a dog."
20 points to the person that gets that Professor Layton reference.

HAWP.
yojimb0 @ Dec 4th 2008 7:49PM
Dang, do the japanese not have tvs or something? All portable...
Alien Lord @ Dec 4th 2008 7:51PM
Interesting how it's nearly all portable games that are on the Japanese software chart.
el serpiente @ Dec 4th 2008 10:35PM
And nothing from your precious Xbox. How sad. It must be tearing you apart...
Brian @ Dec 5th 2008 4:18AM
Efficient public transport.
Tarq @ Dec 4th 2008 8:54PM
People in Japan do a lot of commuting by train, thus many portables are sold.
If you have a 12 hours of work and 2 hours of commuting a day, that's when you're going to be playing your games. Not that all japanese do, but it's a helluva lot more common than in a lot of other rich parts of the world.

I would like to see Layton and Inazuma Eleven over here, but I doubt that I'll be seeing either any time too soon.
