Nyko's $20 'Metal Pedal' helps RB2 and GHWT get the ped out
22
If that incurable case of lead foot has led to more speeding tickets and broken Rock Band (and now, Guitar Hero World Tour) pedals than you care to admit, it may be time to consider a change. Not anything surgical – you're perfect just the way you are – but rather a quick $20 band-aid over the larger issue. Introducing the Metal Pedal, a metal pedal that's compatible "with all standard drum controllers for Rock Band 1 and 2 and Guitar Hero: World Tour on all platforms." Unfortunately, if you're in need of just such a fix, you're ess oh ell until January. Or, you could opt for the DIY eBay alternative, the Pedal Metal. Where do they come up with these names?

I agree. I'm a professional electrical engineer, and for the price offered I felt it wasn't worth my time to go buy a pedal and do the mods myself.
After research, I gave my money to Rock Pedal. Inductive (non-contact) prox switch means nothing to wear out unlike some of the other offerings. And it's a solid pedal with a lot of adjustments so you can get it just to your liking. I use it in conjunction with my Pearl BD-10 practice pad, and it's a fantastic experience now.

and I'm rock drummer Neil Pert, and I wholly endorse this drumming product for personal use, or as a gift for moms and dads or even little sally and billy. It's fun for the whole family. look, even grandpa is getting in on the act!

I got the Omega instead. Since it came with the beater head, I can use it on my real kit too.

I remember reading that they said they were afraid of losing the masters.

You know, just last night I was thinking of somthing like that... I still have my week 1 RB1 pedal unbroken, but as a real drummer I really feel the bounce/springy feeling just isn't there when I play. When I upgrade to the RB2 set and drop the load for the cymbals I'll have to pick this up too.

How would it interchange between RB and GH if regular pedals from each don't?
Either way if this has a straight cord like in the
picture then you could use it on a RB2 strat to activate OD.

Good for RB1 drums with a broken plastic kick pedal.
