"...if we're going to play a Mario Kart clone, we might as well just play Mario Kart. "

Well put. Each successive iteration of Mario Kart is so well made, it leaves nothing to be desired of the kart-racing genre.

... so you don't get frustrated by the horrible item balancing and rubberband AI? Stay classy, Nintendorks.

And no, I'm not defending the game- I need to play it first- it's just that people who think Nintendo can't do no wrong are hilariously naive.

Except the music in Mario Kart games had been going downhill. Like, Waluigi Stadium was good, in fact, all of MKDS was, but MK Double Dash and MKWii both had mind-numbingly mediocre music.

This NasKart game has fairly generic music, but I like it well enough. Since it doesn't seem to have online play, the real test of whether it's worth getting depends on the quality of the tracks, the quality of the controls, and whether or not it has Mii integration (unlikely).

Nintendo CAN do wrong.. it's called Mario Kart DD. The Wii version was very good ... in fact, still the last Nintendo game I bought after all this time (been a bit of a software drought since, eh?).

Anywho, I'm really tired of "cartoony" just being an excuse to give us something that looks like it belongs on the Dreamcast. Not that I'm a graphics whore, but besides the controller, sometimes I feel like my Wii system is actually OLDER than my GC. I mean, common.. it has better hardware.. use it. And this is EA. If ANYONE out there besides Nintendo can invest money into a game to make it at least good looking, it's them.

*Sigh* Things like this really make me wonder what idiot gave EA licenses, the NFL and NASCAR worlds have been crying for years.

Well, at least I have been.

I can see lots of little kids of NASCAR families wanting to buy this game. It's a big sport, have you seen the stadiums at the races? They are Packed out!

The only good thing that I can see (hear) in the trailer, is the music.
I'd better go play guitar hero.

The graphics are worse than Mario Kart Wii's (MKW's visuals aren't bad. I'm not trying to imply that.) and the gameplay looks incredibly robotic, like earlier racing games. The lack of overall polish is what displeases me. Another EA game I shall not buy.

This is one of many reasons I'm picking up a ps3. I need some real adult games with less shovel-ware. I love the wii for party games but after galaxy there hasn't been a compelling single player game. I'm checking out until the Conduit and Mad World releases.

Yet more shovel-ware for the Wii. Where are the really good games?? I haven't turned my Wii on in months dues to the lack of decent games.
