(The Award-Winning) dark_inchworm @ Dec 5th 2008 2:55PM
No Doubt was pretty good.
Shit being bananas was very bad.
jeff @ Dec 5th 2008 3:32PM
Why do they not post videos anymore?
Kyattsuai @ Dec 5th 2008 6:16PM
The videos are probably a remnant from when they released one pack and maybe a single or two per week. This last month has seen many weeks where nearly 10 tracks have added, which is a lot harder to embed.
John Z @ Dec 5th 2008 2:56PM
"Ex-Girlfriend"... awesome. As I recall that was one of the first-tier tracks on Frequency, making it quite possibly the first song some people associate with Harmonix.
Young_Nastyman @ Dec 5th 2008 7:16PM
You are correct, sir!!!
oolz @ Dec 5th 2008 3:00PM
great release, lots of hits and good songs. should be a big seller.
Dillon @ Dec 5th 2008 3:01PM
Awesome - I wouldn't have thought it would take me this long to buy a full album, but this one is pretty solid.
Shagittarius @ Dec 5th 2008 3:03PM
No doubt? More like No Talent.
Tally-ho, Barf barf!
CTC XBL-supapaypamawio PSN-ctclaw @ Dec 5th 2008 3:10PM
I'm not saying No Doubt is a greatly talented band, but when you have a band with equal or better talent let us all know.
Shagittarius @ Dec 5th 2008 3:19PM
I fart better hooks than No doubt.
Joeshie @ Dec 5th 2008 3:21PM
"when you have a band with equal or better talent let us all know."
The Beatles, The Who, Eric Clapton, AC/DC, Metallica, The Rolling Stones, Nirvana, The Beach Boys...
The list goes on and on and on.
Dirty @ Dec 5th 2008 3:22PM
Quick! Somebody get a microphone. Shag is about to eat a can a beans. We can get at least a gold record out of this.
CTC XBL-supapaypamawio PSN-ctclaw @ Dec 5th 2008 3:24PM
So Joeshie you're saying Shag is in The Beatles, The Who, Eric Clapton, AC/DC, Metallica, The Rolling Stones, Nirvana, The Beach Boys?!?
My apologies Shag, I wasn't aware that you were in all of these bands...I admire your work.
Dirty @ Dec 5th 2008 3:27PM
@Joeshie
You were in the beatles and the who! CRAZY. Can I have your autograph.
CTC XBL-supapaypamawio PSN-ctclaw @ Dec 5th 2008 3:34PM
Now Joeshie is looking at these comments, back at my first reply, and then at his first reply and thinking, "shit...".
tcc3 @ Dec 5th 2008 3:38PM
Given Gwen's recent works im starting to think she wasnt that integral. Just a pretty face and a good voice.
The rest of the band needs to reform, I miss No Doubt. They could call it Without a Doubt...
Shagittarius @ Dec 5th 2008 4:02PM
I use No Doubt as the litmus test for good taste in music. If you like them you fail, and I never care about your opinions again.
Levi @ Dec 5th 2008 4:47PM
I'm with you Shag, but it appears that time has been kind to No Doubt after all. After Tragic Kingdom, I thought for sure that their wannabe ska/punk OC style pop trash would be devoured and promptly shat out and forgotten by the incessantly changing tastes of public opinion. But it appears that unfortunately, their music is here to stay.
Joeshie @ Dec 5th 2008 7:00PM
@CTC
Haha, now that I understand what you meant, it makes your argument even worse. I can't decide if you are honestly stupid enough to think that not being able to play in a band disqualifies you from criticism.
I guess since Rogert Ebert doesn't make movies, he can't call out if a movie sucks or not. I guess since you don't make games, you can't call out if a game sucks or not.
Nice shitty logic there.
CTC XBL-supapaypamawio PSN-ctclaw @ Dec 5th 2008 8:57PM
Haha, nice try saving yourself joe. I do criticize games and movies, but I don't say the actors, musicians, or anyone else involved is talentless. Either way your the one who got downvoted so it looks like the majority disagree with you.
343 Guilty Fart @ Dec 5th 2008 3:04PM
Weird, I just heard Trapped in a Box on the radio the other day.
Rudolphe @ Dec 5th 2008 3:15PM
Guess someone figured out a way to make you pay twice as much for an album.
MasterCKO @ Dec 5th 2008 4:16PM
Yes, by giving you the ability to play along (in a fun, albeit simplified, way) to the music rather than simply taking it in. It's pretty brilliant, actually.
Roofie @ Dec 5th 2008 3:23PM
Say what you want about whether or not you like No Doubt (I'm not a big fan myself) but the whole point of Rock Band is to bring many different people together to have fun and rock out. I will be buying this entire album just because I know plenty of people who will be pumped up to play and sing these songs.
Q: How do you get a non-gamer girl to be excited about video games?
A: Load up your Rock Band with Paramore, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and next week, No Doubt.
Good day, Sir.
HazyCloud @ Dec 5th 2008 3:32PM
This.
Steph @ Dec 5th 2008 3:40PM
Yup... gonna have to buy this for my wife and the wives of my friends who we get together with to play RB.
(The Award-Winning) dark_inchworm @ Dec 5th 2008 4:25PM
I wish they'd go ahead and dump all of Riot! into RB. It's pretty good stuff (except for track 9).
ZeroCorpse @ Dec 6th 2008 10:26AM
I'm lucky enough to have a wife who understands that No Doubt sucks in a big way.
But she still doesn't play games.
Jess Q. @ Dec 7th 2008 2:31AM
You could just try leaving the non-gamer girls to the jocks and looking for a girl who LIKES playing games instead of trying to lure her with stupid crap.
Is Paramore really on par with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs? I mean I like No Doubt - I hardly think they were the best band ever or anything, but I enjoyed Tragic Kingdom, and now Gwen Stefani's sometimes awful music is still a guilty pleasure of mine, but I think Yeah Yeah Yeahs deserve a little bit more credit than some band that only sticks in my mind because the singer has bright hair (i.e., Paramore).
For the record, I'm a girl, and a gamer, and the only download tracks I've bought were Perfect Drug and March of the Pigs. Some girls like decent music. :p
lokar82 @ Dec 5th 2008 3:24PM
My wife will be very happy with this. Me, not so much.
Vegeta (aka Ska Oreo) @ Dec 5th 2008 3:27PM
Well, now I guess I know what game to pick up. I'd love rocking out to No doubt.
Comet @ Dec 5th 2008 3:32PM
No "Trapped in a Box"?
FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-
ScottG13 @ Dec 5th 2008 3:35PM
This is a great response to all of us that have been asking for more popular female vocal tracks for our Rock Band parties. Nice choice, Harmonix!
J @ Dec 5th 2008 3:38PM
No Doubt sucks, but Gwen Stefani inspires me to excercise.
Tez @ Dec 5th 2008 3:46PM
Me too.
(The Award-Winning) dark_inchworm @ Dec 5th 2008 4:27PM
Gwen Stefani inspires me to eat.
Justin @ Dec 5th 2008 4:11PM
I'm sad "New" won't be making it, that's one of my favorite songs from them and seems like it would've been well suited to the game (better than some that did make the cut).. that said it's not a bad list and I'm very tempted to buy....
Mighty Healthy @ Dec 5th 2008 4:33PM
Agreed. New was better than a couple of the tracks that stayed on.
With that said, it's ABOUT TIME! My girlfriend has been hounding me about this ever since I told her that No Doubt would come to Rock Band.
MasterCKO @ Dec 5th 2008 4:13PM
oh man. I was literally just itching to play No Doubt stuff. Really, last Thursday or Friday I was listening to "I'm just a Girl" on the radio and thought, "hey, it would be cool to play this, or actually any number of other No Doubt songs." And now this. It's a bit uncanny. Get out my head, Harmonix!
Kia @ Dec 5th 2008 4:17PM
Aw, I wish this was DLC for Guitar Hero.
Shogan @ Dec 5th 2008 4:34PM
This will be my first album purchase. I'm getting the whole thing and probably staying up for it. Gwen's awesome. :)
Lord Negatron @ Dec 5th 2008 4:35PM
Woah! *holds nose* This place wreaks of casual gamer!
Family fun time, jolly get togethers? What the french, toast?! (i know... corny)
Other than that $20 bucks to watch my buddies crack they're voices attempting to sing like Gwen, whilst i sneakily record a video of it.
:Priceless
why not the LS2LS7? @ Dec 5th 2008 4:35PM
"It's My Life" is a keyboard song.
I guess Talk Talk can start cashing their Rock Band checks now.
DominicanRocker1955 @ Dec 5th 2008 6:24PM
Very good, but where is my Mana' DLC ?
