Rumor: Next Metal Gear an Xbox release [update]

PS3 users need not get mad at this attempt by konami to rile up everyone's feathers! If it does go to 360 I'll play it, if not, I won't big wup! Everyone coming at 360 users neck like this isn't a site for 360 users primarily! Come the F on! If GoW2 went to the PS3 I wouldn't care! I really hope the specualtion of MGS going to the iphone or DSi is only that! Although the platforms have a nice install base of users the port they get would be attrocious and a waste for all the nintendog loveing - cooking mama sissies they get and the iphones control scheme would be to invasive on the games action for those who've played any emulators on it know!

And the wii does not have a "green" power light w/ that symbol it just has a small blue/red power light. The Ps3 does have one but its not synonymous w the branding of the console! Black and red are the marketing colors they promote! 360 fanboys users are not reaching when coming to this conclusion! But w/ most konami teases this won't make half as much sense until the full reveal happens and even then it'll be some off the wall BS like MGS Ac!d on the 360 or N gage!

as much as I choose the 360 over any other console, I can't see a reason to get a PS3 yet (except maybe Heavy Rain), at the moment I use my PSP more than the Wii & DS put together to play Myst or W40k: Squad command..

My take on the Ad... I can't see how this means MGS for 360, if they do, it won't MGS4, they should start a new story.. MGS1 was 10 years ago, it was the only one I played, but if I was 10 years younger, MGS4's plot wouldn't mean anything to me.. also, doesn't Kojima want to stop doing the Metal Gear games, and want to do a FPS..

the 'i' I would agree here it could be for the iPhone, which would tie in touch controls, even tilt.. then also for the DSi for touch controls, but that would look nasty..

my money would be a iPhone game, I'd never play it, I'm over the touch/motion/tilt gimmick.. the Japanese are really into their mobile gaming..

I don't see why they'd go through all the effort of making a teaser page and creating all this hype over an iphone game, how many iphone games get there on teaser page and hype built up?

How many handheld games get that at all? Seems like a 360 port/game to me, makes sense.

I hate MGS4 anyway, I don't want it on xbox. It was boring as fuck, all you do it crawl around and watch extremly long cutsences. I want mass effect 2.

Actually, portable games often get teaser pages in Japan. For example: Chrono Trigger DS and Blood of the Bahamut.

even if a metal gear solid game comes to the xbox it still wont be as good as a ps3 version. unless its printed on multiple discs. metal gear solid 4 took up 50gb of space. it'd be like playing 20% or less of a mgs game.

LOL, Lost Odyssey on the 360 is four disc for a total of around 25 Gb. All compressed data, of course. MGS4 for the PS3 takes 50Gb of mostly uncompressed data. Even with the amount of data that can be effectively compressed, I don't see the game being on anything under 5 DVDs.

Unless they make some big compromise on the overall quality, I don't see a MGS 4 happening for the 360.

Does anybody here really care? This past year all I saw on here was people bashing MGS 4 saying how much it sucks so I don't understand why everybody is so excited now.

It would easily fit on one disc. The blu-ray version fits the way it does because the PS3 is not region coded, therefore all languages are necessary to put on the disc. Furthermore, the spoken dialogue is not compressed. Using today's codecs, they could easily compress one language onto a disc and fit the rest onto the DVD.

Some noted that the first exclamation mark is a 180° turned exclamation. So the next one is again 180° turned around which result in 180 + 180 = 360. Sounds solid ;)

The neon green only makes sense with the Xbox 360. Why people relate green with the Xbox 360 you ask? Well the power ring is green and much larger than the green light on the PS3 and the slightly greenish light on the Wii, the green ring is also on the controller (although it doesn't represent power it does relate to the power button because both tell you controller information), and the cases and bright green. Plus the Xbox logo has green in the middle of the sphere. When you think of green you don't think of PS3. This is meant to tease us but why the hell would they be announcing a new project for the PS3 or Wii and make it green?? As for the I, that only relates to the iPhone and everybody knows Apple is making a big fucking deal games on the iPhone. It's a ridiculous gimmick, controlling your guy with a touch screen d-pad is ridiculous and it is just not a device for gaming IMO. Mobile gaming on phones is STUPID.

If MGS4 on the Xbox 320 is true, then this would not be surprising, considering that the 360 is doing much better than the PS3.

Seriously i wish people would just enjoy games no matter the system and not all this fanboy crap. I love games whether on x-box or ps or the wii. Hell even dreamcast. Open your minds to things and wake up. Life is to short arguing which is a better system or game, but what do i know.
