Just rented this and played all of 20 min before my wife 360 died. So I guess I'll pick it back up when her Xbox comes back.

I really enjoy X3F and I especially enjoy X3F TV. I think Richard and Xav doing a terrific job.

One important note though. I think X3F should practice a little bit of journalistic integrity and provide full disclosure on for any game that is receiving extra coverage due to advertising dollars. Especially over the last 6 months there has been a number of game publications that came forward after bad press to admit that they were influenced by advertising dollars.

Hell, I don't care that this might have been sponsored by Ubisoft and that it's the fourth installment of video coverage on Prince of Persia. As a matter of fact, I've really enjoyed it and I'll be buying PoP. But if this or ANY other article is being posted because of advertising(essentially a paid advertisement/coverage) then that should be disclosed. I've mentioned this a number of times in article posts and I've never received a response. If email is more appropriate I would be happy to email the same thing. Either way, this should be addressed because I want to trust X3F and the opinions/comments but I'm not sure that I can.

I see what you're saying. Some are paid off by devs in hopes to get a position as a game designer or what have you, in exchange for good coverage/good review score.

But from the last PoP video coverage, some one asked Xav the same thing and he responded:

"No. We're not paid to focus on any game. That is extremely unethical. We regularly highlight specific games (that we personally select) for a week of special coverage during its launch."

I think they just pick games they feel they enjoy enough or games that have gotten alot of buzz. If gamers are still having questions about a game that is launched X3F feels obligated to cover them as best they can with videos they capture and edit themselves.

Ryan: Thanks for the reply! I missed Xav's previous comment. This is great to know. Other sites you go to you wonder whether they are highlighting a game b/c they enjoy it and it's great or is there something more behind it. I think X3F is the best X360 site out there and want to know that I can depend on these guys for their real unbiased thoughts. =)

Apologies for the derailment of the main post. I didn't mean for the thread to continue but was hoping to see a response.

It's taken you two tries and you still couldn't figure out how to use the "reply" button.

Here's an idea for you. It's called truth in journalism. Full disclosure. Telling your readers that your opinions are solely your own and not influenced.

One day when you grow up maybe you'll understand these conceptsts...or maybe not. You'll probably blindly accept any junk fed to you like most people do these days.

And for your information, the reason I don't go to another site is b/c I really enjoy X3F. I think it's a great site and I want it to stay that way. That's why I comment rather than going to another site or burying my head in the sand.

It hasn't taken me any tries to hit the reply button, I also have been coming to X3F for a long time. Seeing as the topic was dead to begin with, I knew my message would be right under yours.

The videos you are going on about are actual gameplay videos. They aren't two guys telling you to buy the game with nothing to back it up, or showing you random cut scenes with nothing to base your consideration on. It's not "blind junk being fed" to anyone. I guess I just get irked when people hop up on the soapbox to vent about something they have zero proof of. I'm all in favor of "truth in journalism", as well as non presumptive comments.

Thanks.

T3h g4m3 15 t3h lolz.1t t3h 5hizz. In other words, I thought the game was pretty freakin' sweet. A bit on the short side, but that seems to be the norm nowadays. I don't mind, I prefer these types of games and it's nice to see there seems to still be a market for descent(I think I spelled that right) adventure games. The thing that has me interested is the obvious Zero Punctuation review. I wonder how bad Yahtzee will rip this game a new one. Batten down the hatches, everyone!!!!!!!!!!
