Rumor: Meteos Wars and PowerUP Forever XBLA bound next week

In Xbox Live Arcade news that exists in the grey area between rumor and factual information, word on the interwebs is that Q Entertainment's Meteos Wars and Namco's PowerUP Forever will be headed to the XBLA next Wednesday, December 10th.

The news actually comes from the official developer / publisher websites, including Namco's official PowerUP Forever page and Q's newly launched Meteos Wars website. The only reason we're slapping a rumor on these games' rather official release dates is the fact that Microsoft has been known to make last minute XBLA release switcheroos. In our eyes, until we hear XBLA release dates from Microsoft, they aren't official.

COOL! Meteos was a great DS game, its definitely welcome on the arcade

Meteos is amazing, but I don't see how it can work without a stylus. They must have slowed it down a lot or something. Which would be pretty crappy, really.

Meteos hit PC too. I guess they found a way to combat the lack of a stylus... Who knows if it's as fun, but I'll give it a try.

Power Up Forever honestly looks good too

800 points isn't a lot for Meteos....

I paid like 30 or 34 dollars when Meteos first came out on the DS.

PowerUp Forever looks good, website was all in Kanji though.
Gave up waiting for the Meteos website to load.

I shall have to wait till Wednesday and then give them a test run.

800 points? Seriously? I'm pretty sure I saw this as a flash game on the Internetz for free :\

It's a very cool game with unique characters. It's kind of a medium speed game and great level of variation.

I Hyped Power Up Forever on Everhype and gave it 84% which I think is fairly accurate.
