So are all the country music haters going to post next week "It's ROCK Band, not SKA Band or POP Band?"

And I'm sorry, but I'm pretty sure Jerry Garcia never said at a concert, "Are you ready to ROCK?" Does this mean they aren't rock either? Alabama Getaway is pretty damn close to country music...

A very very good point. In fact, some of the Grateful Dead's songs are closer to country than modern "country" is. Including plenty of covers of country songs. The country sucks people tend not to know what country is.

Tangentially related is my craving for some British folk rock in RB2 and some live GD.

i'm pretty sure a good deal of the music on rock band would not be classified as rock anyways

Rock band has had some pretty lame DLC. too much metal... now country... common. With all the stupid punk, emo and scremo dlc, im starting to lose faith. What happened to the rock in rock band? More of the classics, and some more new stuff. Why not Pink Floyd, Eagles, more Radiohead, or anything that can be classified under rock.

"too much metal"

Too much metal my ass. There's barely any real metal in the damn real games (RB1 or RB2) or in DLC.
A few safe baby metal tunes, and a bunch of hybrid crap teenagers love.

I like to see more Hair band music. We got a few Bon Jovi tracks, the Dr. Feelgood album, and Ratt's Round and Round. But come on - I want some White Snake, Warrent, Twisted Sister, more Bon Jovi and Motley Crue, and Poison. And for the ladies, how about Vixen, Pat Benatar, more Joan Jett, and Lita Ford?

Remember the "Monsters of Rock" tours? How about a Great Hits?

Oh, and of course, some Van Halen!

See, I don't care that I don't have to download it, I still need to be angry that they haven't released any songs to my exact specifications this week.

Hillbilly Deluxe? I would most definitely prefer Hellbilly Deluxe.

Whiskeytown, anyone?

Avett Brothers?

Ryan Adams?

There's more to country than this.

You know, I was planning on purchasing this. I have bought all master DLC tracks that are not in GHWT including the stupid Naked Brothers Band crap, but this is just too far. Gunpowder & Lead is a throughly disturbing song and has no business anywhere. She shoots a guy because he PUSHES her and that's ok? I'm sorry, it's basically condoning baseless murder and will probably lead to REAL murders. Let be honest: most country fans aren't the brightest of the bunch. I just can't support that song, and I STRONGLY urge others not to as well. Now I feel even more stupid for buying "I don't want to go to school"...

Thanks for the heads up on the Miranda Lambert song. There's so much misandry in country music I find it hard to even listen to female singers anymore. They've gotten as bad as female R&B singers.

... uh, considering you've downloaded everything, have you ever actually listened to Sleepwalker?

I really like Dierks Bentley, but why couldn't they pick a better song than this? "What Was I Thinking" or "How Am I Doing" would have been a much better songs from him to have in the game.

An utterly bizarre selection. Not because it's country, because I've been hanging for that. I finally understand the "OMG why did you pick that song?" comments when anything is announced.

It's as if someone decided to try to make country DLC fail by picking songs that play into the "I hate country music because it's is only about trucks and shooting" crowd.

My wife told me I couldn't get Rock Band until there were some country tracks she could play... Looks like I'll be casing in on that promise!

OK, now that they've broken the country-music glass ceiling, I'm seriously hoping that they're going to make their way slowly toward getting some funk bands in RB.

Earth, Wind, & Fire FTW!

I hope the next batch of DLC is Peruvian flute music. My guinea pig has been looking at me strangely.

Finally! Brad paisley, the best guitarist in country, finally gets a rock band song! But if it were up to me, I would have done "Celebrity" instead. It has a much more interesting guitar part.
