I preffer having fun with my friends rather than killing unknown people than won't laugh or speak with me. So online won't really affect me.

Local Multiplayer isn't SAD, Mr. Wii Fanboy post author person... or DAVID as you're supposedly called. The Wii has ZERO decent local multiplayer FPS's which is ridiculously pathetic in my opinion since the console makes it so easy to make them. I don't know how the multiplayer in this will work, but any combat local multiplayer for the Wii is a very very good thing. I might get this now, whereas before I wasn't really sure if I was interested. Same with The Conduit. If The Conduit ends up sacrificing local multiplayer I will have to seriously reconsider buying it, no matter how good the single player game looks it looks. It's just too much fun to be able to laugh at your friend who just got his face rearranged by a couple of bullets. YAY VIOLENCE!! K I'm done.

local multiplayer is good and covers a bit but it will really help the game to have online.Look at mario kart wii.It outsold any other past mario kart mainly due to the online component, just like Mario Kart DS did.Local multiplayer has limitations, its fun BUT limited:
to fight the same faces
If you happen to be better than your buddies you will own them over and over till doomsday.
You need to MAKE your friends (who might NOT neccesarily like the game) play it.
Online multiplayer alllows to play YOUR RL friends, and online friends, as well as million other types of players.
There is no contest between both.
Is not like i insult local multiplayer.Its a good thing.But is a bit short sighted to compare it to online capabilities.Its the same but bigger,and you CAN ALWAYS play with someone else with online features.You cant with local only wake up itching for some killing at 3.00 and get a friend to your place to play.

I LOVE YOU PLATINUM GAMES! Finally a game I can play with my brother without having to buy a second tv and second wii. Honestly, I love online, but there are not enough games these days where my brother and I can play together. We are always playing video games, but splitscreen or local multiplayer is dissapearing, and it's pissing me off. I play with my extended family often as, well, often. My brother and I play excessivly. And intro, I can't ALWAYS play with the people I WANT to play with unless I spend another thousand bucks.
