Thankfully we're not in the habit of making perceivably safe bets, otherwise we would've lost everything we had wagering that, two years after launch, retailers wouldn't still have a shortage of Nintendo Wiis. If you're still hunting for the console, starting now Walmart is selling "tens of thousands" of bundles priced from $250 (Wii only) to $460 (with Wii Fit). This time, we're willing to bet they'll be sold out by tonight.

I like the fact that the wii is becoming the next ps2, with lots of cheap games. This weekend I bought 3 wii games: Worms ($12.50), Destroy All Humans (12.50) and Boom Blox ($29).
Those may not be AAA games but their price tag is good enough to warrant a purchase, even if they're just average games.

I think the Wii is the king of 'average' games that are good enough to buy at a good price. Tony Hawk Downhill Jam and Metal Slug Anthology spring to mind immediatly, with Downhill Jam being (imo) the most underrated game on the Wii.
On another note, Disaster: Day of Crisis is pretty damn good, tho i'm a huge fan of 'natural disaster' movies like The Core, The Day After Tomorrow, Deep Impact etc so to find a game thats pretty much a 'natural disaster' game is pure gold to me. The graphics are pretty good for the Wii too and the controls are spot on.

They've all sold out on walmart.com . I got a Wii at midnight when they came out, I feel sorry for those who still can't.

$460 for the Wii + Wii Fit? Last I checked, the wiifit doesn't cost $210. Please tell me it's a typo or for 2 wii fits and a game or something like that.
Anyone still looking should come to NYC, I see them in every store I walk into.
