Although notoriously protective of its intellectual property, Nintendo has outsourced their beloved franchises before. Sometimes, it turns out beautifully. Other times ... not so much. To be fair, comparing Capcom to Ambrella is like comparing Garfield to Heathcliff. One would think that designing a racing game based on Pokemon could have easily been mediocre. But it almost appears that the game was purposely made bad. As if Ambrella consciously decided "you know what I've always hated? Pikachu. Let's take his franchise down a notch!" The controls are goofy, the graphics are ho-hum, and the whole thing just reeks of sub-par.
