I think Gears is awesome and that the story is very deep but severely understated, thus the inability of idiots to pick it up.

If only they'd throw us non-360 gamers a bone and do a port of GoW2 for PC. To have invested time and interest in the original game only to be left in the cold for the sequel kinda bites.

I know whatchoo mean. I'll buy a 360 somewhere down the line but by then I'll probably have forgotten about Gears and the next generation will be beckoning.

no. MS NEEDS this game to stay 360 exclusive, they just keep throwing away reasons to own a 360

I'm sure they decided not to release it (or to delay it) on PC to avoid piracy. It does suck though, especially for me because I hate the 360 controller. But oh well, at least I got to save money by renting instead of buying.

Again, MS need games like this (along with Halo and Fable) to stay exclusive, as your post clearly shows there's too many people who'd rather wait for PC ports rather than buy a 360.

And considering how poorly all of those games did when they were eventually ported, they'd have to be pretty stupid to do it for what little money they must make from them.

I'm not trying to be a fanboy and stop others from playing them.. Just saying it's in MS's best interests not to port them.

the game did not sell well on PC, thats why it is not on the PC.
not because of piracy.
5 million sold to 360 owners.
less than 1 million sold on PC.

Last generation I had my PC and multiple consoles. It became a burdensome waste of space. Exclusives are not going to get me to buy more unnecessary hardware again. I'm not saying I'm a huge PC fan, but I happen to use it for a lot of reasons every day, and so making it my primary gaming platform is simple practicality. If I could get away with a laptop for all my other PC functions, then I would likely be gaming on a console instead.

Fact is though, all fanboyism is misguided. The 360, PS3, or a PC with a mainstream GPU are all capable of running current titles in a relatively similar fashion. Exclusives and the like are business decisions that ultimately limit consumer choice, and hence hurt the gamer. You can get around this by buying multiple consoles (a solution I went for in my younger days), but ultimately that is getting you to buy things you have absolutely no need for, except for artificial limits set by the publishers.

I think most everyone heaved a sigh of relief when the Blu-Ray/HD-DVD "war" ended, but we still blithely accept the same insanity year after year in the game industry for no good reason.

I do admit the main campaign had more variety, was longer, and Dom's story was very well done.

The only thing that really irked me were the boss battles, I was expecting the very last boss to put of a fight, but the final result was anticlimactic.

In my opinion of course.

No, I'm pretty sure that's a fact! :p

But as soon as I got the achievement for beating the game, I asked myself, "Was that it?" I couldn't believe it ended that suddenly.

Granted it is the second chapter in the trilogy, so a bit of a cliffhanger is expected. I just like it when the final boss puts up a good fight. :(

yeah el serp is a joke.

reminds me of a cockroach i used to know at my old apartment. it lives a bugs life.

el serp wants to bug humans and be a pest.

when i am only giving my opinions about a product that has no brain or heart.

the funny thing is that he was saying i was dumb and stupid for making these comments. then when they come true he has nothing to say...

only to go crawl back into the dark place he came from. hows the bugs life el serp? haha...

it is truly funny when u make a comment like this now.

LOL! Way to nail the demographic.

When I played through it I ordered pizza too, I actually felt a weird nostalgia, I felt like "woah, what am I 19 again?"

Not bad, but hugely overshadowed, for me, by L4D.

I bought GOW2 within a few days of release and thought it kinda sucked. I have no idea why it's such a big crowd pleaser. The level design is too linear and repetitive. The enemies are constantly straight out in front of you with little room to flank them. I swear GOW1 had more flanking opportunities. The multiplayer is still a shotgun fest, and the weapon balance remains weak and shallow. Most shooters give you many weapon types to play around with... I never feel like i have many really significant weapon choices to make in this game though.

It's certainly a good looking game but the the story and gameplay just don't match its looks.

I loved gears 1. I loved the story line and horde in 2, but when it comes to the matchmaking, I would rather stab myself in the eye with a pen then play it.

The stats speak for themself. People can complain all they want about halo, but it's reliable and is back on top and this is down to 3rd place... and I'd hate to say it, but it'll keep dropping until Epic fixes it.

well honestly i think that Gears is better than Halo 3,why do u think sooo many playersleft Halo 3 toplay COD4 or Gears 1, its just what people like, they allhave their opinions and your not going to change anyones mind by talking all ur crap about 1 game or system.

Its just the way ppl are, u cant change what ppl think or like about something, reguardless who u are, lesson learned,go get some balls haters
