The lucky folks over at Joystiq managed to get their hands dirty with all of the different versions of the Ghostbusters game recently. Now that it's confirmed to, y'know, actually exist, we're wondering if the game is as good as it seems to be on paper. Also, how does the Wii version stack up against the other versions of the game? Well, we're glad to say that Joystiq said the Wii version was their favorite. That makes two now!
As for the rest of it, head on over and check out the piece here.

Wii port? Don't you mean Wii version?
I know the wii gets a lot of ports, but this is just the wii version of ghostbusters.

Glad to hear that two sites that I wouldn't consider particularly Wii-friendly have stated that the Wii version controls the best.
ps. I also agree with post#1. Wii version, not port.

Why do the characters look so damn ugly?
I know the wii isn't as powerful as the PS3/360 but sheesh. These guys look like they've walked straight out of an n64 game.

Go play an N64 game, like right now, then attempt to make that statement again.

Okay, maybe "n64" was abit overly exaggerated, but that doesn't stop this game from looking shit on the graphical front.

If you'd do you homework before stating such a stupid thing, you'd learn that the approach they took on the wii version is a cartoon base rather than a realistic base
In other words, PS3 and 360 are based on a film while wii was decided to be on the Cartoon base. Which, for me, appeals more cuz i grew up with this cartoon

Wow - calm down.
Since when has "Based on a cartoon" been synonymous with "Ugly graphics".
Seriously. I don't mind them taking it in a different direction. I only ask that they do it well.

I expected it, I mean, when I heard ghostbusters game the first thing I thought was wii, and motion controls for ghost catching.
And cartoon looking graphics are more appropiate for the ghostbusters, I remember always watching their show when I was a kid.

I admit that the wii doesn't have the best graphics in the world, and also the fact that very few developers actually utilize the hardware to it's fullest potential. Not only that, but
this game was, and I have heard many websites say this, meant to have a more cartoonish style to it! Of course the characters look blocky, crappy, or whatever you call it. Do graphics make or break a game? No, they don't. The overall presentation/playability (i.e. how fun the game is) are more important.
