Street Fighter IV Collector's Edition headed to US
16
We've got good news and bad news. The good news is that the collector's edition of Street Fighter IV (announced last week) is headed to the United States after all. The collector's edition -- with the hefty price of $79.99 -- is now listed on GameStop.com. The bad news: The 360 and PS3 versions of the CE are getting different goodies. While both versions will include a soundtrack CD, strategy guide, costume DLC and a bonus disc with the Street Fighter anime movie, each will include a different Street Fighter figurine. Xbox 360 collector's edition buyers will get a Crimson Viper figurine, while PS3 buyers get a Ryu figurine. Call us suckers for nostalgia, but we'd rather have Ryu. At least we can pretend to be Ryu though, as GameStop is offering a free Ryu headband for pre-ordering either version.

I would have settled for Zangief. Or E.Honda. But some Crimson Viper dude/chick? Not cool.
Seriously. Even Vega would do.
I'm hurt Capcom. YOU HEAR ME??

!!DO NOT PRE-ORDER THIS FROM GAMESTOP!!
Whatever you do, do no pre-order from GameStop. If not for the myriad of other reasons one should avoid GameStop altogether, then avoid it because of their shady pre-order practices. They always offer exclusive pre-order bonuses "while supplies last" and then only give out a very small number of bonuses.
The thing is, they know well before ship date that they will only have X amount of bonuses, yet they don't tell those who pre-ordered the game about not having enough bonuses until AFTER the order ships.

I've been screwed over too.. and I was one of the first in line for my pre-order. It's bull, I agree, and I will never pre-order from them again. I got screwed over with the Call of Duty WaW rifle give away, and I got screwed over my the Mirror's Edge time trial give away.
Fool me once, fool me twice, but there times? Hell no. I'm going to Best Buy.. at least if they don't have the gift card or w/e that they promise you they ORDER it for you.

In reference to the above comment - for UK gamers ALWAYS order from Game for pre-orders - guaranteed you will get your order before release date. Not always the cheapest prices but I got Gears 2 and GTA 4 2 days before release.

I have always gotten my pre order bonuses from Gamestop. Not once have they said "Sorry no more left". In fact I have gotten some bonus goodies from people who never picked up their pre order.

Well that's just dumb, common sense would suggest that if you are to have Ryu in one you would surely place Ken in the other? Duurrrr!!

who the %*#@ was the ***hole who decided offering Ryu for ps3 owners while 360 owners getting stuck with...Crimson Viper??...was a good idea?
are you kidding me? who the hell is not going to see that discrepancy?
Yea, lets give 360 owners a character no one's ever heard of and ps3 owners the face of the entire franchise. yea, no one will notice.
