Couldn't you @ least put an actual DS LITE on the image that you've overkill-edly used so many times? Has the guy who originally created it retired on the royalties that you and Kotaku pay him?

Yeah but it still makes me laugh. But not as much as the Pikachu "It sh!ts money!!" version.

More importantly, couldn't they have 'shopped a pound coin or something into the pic instead of a US Dollar?

Kinda scary that this thing's pushing 90 million, and the DSi should give the product legs for another couple of years at least

Nice... excellent for an amazing system.

Seriously, the DS, together with the 360, are the systems this current gen with the best selection of games.

I can see why people might bash other systems, but to bash the DS is wrong.

It has one of the most amazing selection of games, platformers, adventures, RPG's, point and click adventures and a lot of original touchscreen titles, and unique aplications like Elektroplankton, Jam Sessions, Korg, etc.

Kudos for Nintendo for creating an amazin system, and kudos to third partys for all the support to the little machine.

Next year seems to be very good for the Wii too...

yeah on black friday i was looking for a psp or ds and really wanted to use them to play games on the road or when my gf is playing the ps3 or 360.

so i looked at the selection of games, and yes the psp offered better graphics and more options, but the game lineup on the ds was right up my alley.
for me the classics are great and rpgs too.

I don't know. I've had my DS for nearly a year now and all it does is sit and collect dust. I much prefer my 360 and PC for gaming rather than the DS.

Maybe it's because I've never really been much of a handheld gamer, but whenever I go over to Best Buy and glance at the DS aisle, it seems that for every one Phoenix Wright or Advance Wars, you have 100 other My Pretty Ponies or Imagine: Babyz.

That's ok Joeshie. Little kids play with the DS too.

On other news... I just started playing Dragon Ball Origins. Man, I so wanted a Dragon ball game just like this one 15 years ago. Good thing I'm still young at heart :) And IMO Dragon Ball > Dragon Ball Z.

Me too Fernando. I just picked up a 360, and I'm surprised that the selection of games on the 360 is more than just 1st person shooters.

And Joeshie, c'mon! Put a little love into your DS! I've got gigantic meat paws, and I'm able to rock the system. Who cares about all the Ubisoft Imagine series games or all of the suduku master games you see at Best Buy? Don't you ever check out Metacritic or shop online? All of the top 100 games for the DS on Metacritic are really good (Respective to their genre of course. You don't strike me as a guy who would get a kick out of Nintendogs). And the best part is that you can find most of them used for less than $20. I don't usually buy a DS game for more than $15, and I have a library of almost 30 games. Games can be found so cheap now, I don't mind purchasing something that I might not like.

The Blackberry Storm's screenbutton seems really annoying judging from the dummy model I played with. I can't say I've tried the actual thing, but it's pretty easy to imagine how it feels to type on it compared to the iPhone that I'm used to. You have to literally click the screen like a big mouse button... just pick one up and try it.

The G1, from what I could tell, is freakin awesome. The web browser seemed to load pages slower, and the zooming on the iPhone Safari can't be beat, but due to the amount that Safari F#@#ING CRASHES ALL THE TIME, a browser that comes as close as it does is a welcome change (considering it, too, doesn't crash all the time).

I quite literally posted that comment earlier because I frequently try to comment on both www.Joystiq.com and i.joystiq.com from my iPhone, and neither work more than 50% of the time. I'll type out this long ass brilliant comment, hit submit, and *poof* it's gone. Doesn't post to the website, doesn't say it sent me an e-mail, can't retrieve the comment text with the back button (because mobile safari refreshes every time you press back!). Pain in the ass.

If AT&T would go back on their statement and start supporting Android, I'd consider a G1, though I'd really want a phone with a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Oh yeah, and to say something a bit on-topic, I got rid of my DS and kept my PSP, because I jsut don't like the games on the DS. I may have printed some money for Nintendo, but then printed some more money for Gamestop when I traded it in towards Rock Band. It was a good trade that I don't regret.

No wonder I can't find a black or Cobalt Blue or Silver one in stock anywhere...

I'll have to settle for the red one...

Will it print money for me?
Cause all the hacks I've tried haven't worked.
For 130$ you'd THINK you'd get a good money printing machine.

Good sales for the best handheld system going, and I still don't have the new Castlevania or the latest Advance Wars, though by most gamers perception that game is now old.
