SO AWESOME. *w*

C'mon Namco, I want to give you my money! On a U.S., non-bastardized version.

I'm a bit depressed that they've switched from gibberish language into actual Japanese...it takes away a little from the charm that the PSX game had.

Aside from that, though, completely awesome in every single way and I will own this game in some form by the end of next year, be it imported or not.

I really liked the gibberish language. I felt it added to the sense it was in other world. Japanese doesn't do that because, even though I don't understand Japanese, I recognize it.

You mean the original wasn't Japanese?!!
Then what the hell was I speaking all these years?
I wanted to take Japanese classes but couldn't afford them so I thought I'd learn from this game. Awwwww

@Kyte:

Oh, that's a relief. I'll probably play through it with both...just because it's such a good game and I think the original is really one of the most underrated games of all time.

@Almadi:

Sorry to burst your bubble and let out the Phantomilian inside.

"Door to Awesome" - I love it!

With games like Klonoa, Cave Story, and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, I'm starting to feel a lot more excitement for the Wii over the 360 and PS3. Almost every post on 360 Fanboy and PS3 Fanboy is yet another American-style shooter with realistic but otherwise generic brown and gray graphics, the Wii is getting fun, gameplay-oriented games with stylish graphics.

Needs more Tomba.

Seriously, though, I never played the original, but I quite enjoyed the GBA games. I figure as wonderful as this looks, I'll no doubt love it too.

I'm SOOO getting this this when it releases. to be quite honest i've never heard of this game till the Wii version was announced. soon after (about three days after i heard of it's existence) i logged into the PSN and checked out the PS1 downloadable titles. guess what? Klonoa" Door to Phantomile was available. talk about giving people (other then myself) a hard choice. original for whatever it's cost was. or new Wii port for what? 30$ i think it?

GAH!

Why did they have to put actual Japanese language track?

I hope there is an option to switch it to the original none language voice.

:(

Yes, there is that option, it's already been covered a few posts earlier... however, no one can be certain how bad they'll muck up the U.S. version. It will probably only have crappy English dialogue! HA! (better not)

I think it looks FRICKIN awesome! I'm so down with this title. I'm a 24 year old dude, so why is it that I tend to like the cuter stuff? Aren't all American guys supposed to like stuff like Gears of War? *walks away shaking head in confusion*

Yo,

I can't help but say once again how happy I am to see this remade for the Wii. As a huge fan of the original and a fan of well designed, so-called "cute" platformers, I would buy a Wii for this game alone.

As someone else pointed out, we're getting a slew of generic brown FPS's on the other consoles. Thank you, Nintendo, for actually remaining true to yourself and publishing games that can be enjoyed by all ages and demographics.

For those of you turned off by the cute factor, give the game a try and you'll see why it works.

Happy gaming,

manaman

I am actually really upset that they made this "remake" of Door to Phantomile SO much like Lunatea's Veil. That game was really poor in comparison to Phantomile so, I don't know if I'll buy this or not. Boyfriend has the original PSX game so.. Why spend $50 on a crummy remake..?
