We've got ourselves a twofer this week. On the one hand we have a new version of the formerly DS exclusive (and well received) puzzle game Meteos Wars. On the other, we have a new multi-directional shooter by the name of PowerUp Forever. Find out if either one is for you by watching the latest episode of XBLA in Brief above. We also have a brand new feature this week. Below you will find the Xbox Live Marketplace links to the trial versions of each game. So, if you decide you'd like to give one of them a go on your Xbox 360, you can queue it up for download without even leaving your computer. How sweet is that? (Answer: totally flipping sweet).

That's mainly because I was trying to beat the third level. Not saying it's a bad game, but I would have spent much less time if I had been able to beat level 3.
After all, I don't enjoy admitting that a game is too difficult for me :)
Well, for some reason my copy of PowerUp Forever won't work consistently. I'm getting a "This disc is unreadable" error and the game kicks me back to the dash. According to support, I'm not the only one, which gives me hope for a patch, a slim one considering N-B's track record with Mr. Driller Online.
WHEN it works though, it is bucketloads of fun. FYI: The campaign/arcade mode has three difficulties, with easy pretty manageable, normal should be as Richard described and hardcore... well, the name says all.
Yup, that's what I said. I've tried every trick known to mankind, including formatting my f**king hard drive, but the error persists. Had I called support BEFORE I nuked my drive, I'd still have my save games :)
Powerup Forever didn't seem all too interesting until you got the guardian power which made the larger enemies act as smaller ones, which actually seems like a neat concept. I would buy if there was a better soundtrack which is one of the things that still makes me love Geo Wars 2.
