Lionhead has informed Eurogamer that the Fable II DLC entitled "Knothole Island" will be arriving on Xbox Live Marketplace on December 22. Set to debut the same day, Lionhead will also release a patch for Fable II that will allow players that have the DLC to play co-op with those who don't. Naturally, access to the DLC will be blocked during such co-op sessions, so don't go thinking you can play it for free if a friend buys it. The DLC will also include some free goodies, including Assassin's Gloves, a weight loss potion, Knight's Boots, a book (yay?), among other things. The Knothole Island DLC, as previously announced, will cost 800 Microsoft Points.

That's cool. I have that week off! w00t.
The part about not being able to share DLC reminded me of the DLC for Crackdown, which you COULD share. That was sweet! Fable 2 should have been more like Crackdown, you know... with Mexican gangs and such. ;)

i'm torn. i'd love to get some more fable, but i hate to support it. fable 2 felt incomplete, and with this release following the full game so soon, it seems like it should've been includedwit the retail package. same thing with the new star wars: tfu DLC, beautiful katamari, and many others. i'm tired of getting nickeled and dimed with so many games, feeling like they left something out of the game so the devs can make more $$$ with DLC.

That's not true at all. While most of the post is your opinion on the game, this after content DLC isn't something that "should have been" on the disc at all.
What people fail to understand is, there is a full month between when we get the game and when it goes gold for them to work on DLC. On top of that, you've got any amount of time between release of the game and the release of the DLC that they could have been working on it. Just because they had DLC planned, doesn't mean they withheld it from the disc.
If anything, it's a ridiculous argument in the first place. They are extending our game experiences within a reasonable amount of time from release to keep us entertained if we like the game - it's been almost 2 months since Fable 2's release when this comes out. You can't have it both ways.
It's just like with the GTA4 DLC, everyones on a great big whine about how they dont care anymore because it's been so long coming. Then they go to another thread and complain about early DLC. There is just no pleasing people..
The worst thing is people whining about the GTA4 DLC price point, failing to remember that it will be 10 months of hard work when you pick it up.
End Rantage. I just hate all this "DONT SUPPORT" crap when it's unjustified (and this mostly wasnt even aimed at you hermit, sorry! just people who complain about dlc in general)
