Read the article, yesterday. Looks like it will be very good! Looking forward to this, as I replay through the original.

You forgot the biggest detail!
It says that Uncharted used about 30% of the PS3's power... and with Uncharted 2 they are shooting for 80-90%!!!

I always feel those numbers aren't really telling of anything about a game -- but I know some of our readers will be interested, so I'll include them. Thanks.

With no load screens in uncharted 2, I wonder if the game will do some HDD installation at the start. Not a bad thing as long as it isnt anymore than 3 gb.

The origional game had no load screens (besides the initial one) and no install.

I would imagine the sequal will be the same.

It did have load screens, it's just that pre-rendered cut-scenes played over the top. It's a good system.

I wouldn't worry about it. This is one of the few developers that understands how to stream level and texture data on the fly to prevent nasty preinstalls.

The first one was awesome and since I'm currently replaying and rejazzing myself about the IP, the news of a second addition is fantastic music to my ears.

No Elena?! :-(
Their chemistry was amazing in the first. Yes, I know I'm talking about a game here (but it was more like a movie). This new person has a lot to live up to! I'm sad Elena is gone...

i liked the sixaxis controls from the first game. i thought the grenade tossing was really intuitive and alot easier than other games without it. i was hoping that other developers would implement it in other games. i hope they include it as an option

yay! Nate your coming closer and closer to being released. What does 100% of the power mean? Like it'll use the whole engine of the ps3? Anywho sounds perfect!

100% power means it will at least be "ON".

And NO, it will not use the whole engine of the PS3...article reads "nearly 100% , it could be upwards of 51% for that matter cuz its closer to 100 but never on the high 90%s. If it were like this Sony wouldn't be in the sh%& hole their in.

I thought the sixaxis controls in Drake's Fortune were really easy and efficient to use. Specifically the grenade tossing. The first two~three tosses went really bad, but after that, it was instinctive and worked very well.

I want to see the option for sixaxis controls included as an option

Why do developers keep tossing Sixaxis support? In Uncharted they worked great, just like in most games I can think of, and unless developers keep implementing them we won't get better products and mechanics. Sony not pushing the implementation more, specially in first and second party developers, gives more ammo to all those early haters of motion controls to say that it was just a gimmick. I enjoyed every game that used Sixaxis and hope to still have the option in all future games.

The Sixaxis tech just doesn't implement well in most games. I imagine next year we'll see a PS3 price drop and the "breakaway" controller around the same time, along with some waggle-tastic games to take advantage of it.
