Working here in the UK. Apparently, because American gamers are such childish brats, they are intentionally witholding it.

my mom wasn't paying the $ 100 + bill to have t-1 or broadband back then like some spoiled kids had.

i would goto the internet cafe to play counterstrike.

It's under the PSN logo on the XMB. If it's not there then I don't know what to tell you.

Don't be surprised when the download is 70mb either. It makes you download every single map once you are in game...kind of a pain.

Good timing. I just turned my ps3 on and saw this sitting there on the xmb (would have been nice for a notification...I almost passed over it). The download's as slow as ever too, at this rate it's going to take 5 minutes at least to download something that's only 77mb :(

Why, when I was a kid we used to have to walk 20 miles barefoot uphill in the snow carrying a rucksack full of lead weights to get home. You whipper snappers got it easy!

Morisato,

Thirty minutes? You lucky bastard. I had a 16 kbps connection; it literally took me four hour to download a file that "big". That fact is made even sadder when one considers most of my friends couldn't even get extraordinarily crappy dialup due to location (we all lived in rural Kansas). We aren't a technologically advanced civilization out in the boonies; up until high school (we graduated in '06), our "high end" video games systems of choice were the NES or the Sega Master System. Hell, my friend had an archaic PC that played Leisure Suit Larry off of a 5.25" floppy and that was considered living large.

For $3 a pop, I'd download a few thirty second porn clips, burn them off on a CD-R, and give 'em to my "client" (usually my friend Gerald) sometime on the two hour long bus ride to school. $3 isn't a whole lot, but it's enough to feed one's Dr. Pepper budget for a school week.

When they finally got dialup, that put me out of business (damn you Earthlink). I eventually turned to selling some of the 5 or 6 year old playboys for $5 a pop or bartered; for example, I traded a Playboy for a T-bone steak once (I brought a small cooler for that one). I almost miss being a smut peddler.

jackal: 16kbps? Bliss!

The only thing worse than my old 300 baud modem (that's 0.3kbps, kids) was when my new-fangled 1200/75 baud connected the wrong way around, and gave me a whole 75 characters per second.

I got broadband a week before Napster hit the internet. I can still remember the shrieks of "HOLY SHIT BALLS!!!" from the BBS's. Yes, that was the summer of my content, followed by the winter of my sore package.

This is correct, 3Gigs need to be reserved. (glad I upgraded my hd to 320) As you go to different spaces you will need to download that space, (only once if you've never been there before)

I just caved the other day and bought a 500, upgrading from a 320. I probably should've held out for the prices to come down a bit further, but I can live with it. I can use the extra 320 as an external...

WTH do you need with 320/500 gb on a PS3? O _ o

I'm rockin' the 80, and 90% of it is empty. Then again, I didn't buy MGS4 so I didn't have to have a MEGA install on my system just to play a game.

Boy do I hate it when people think they're so smart and they'll post '*prepares popcorn for flamewar*' or 'Let the flamewars begin!' in an Apple/Microsoft or X360/PS3 related post.

Exactly. It took 5 minutes to set up. The problem I had was that it red ringed later on which is not related to NXE.

I've had nothing but problems with Home, and when I was on, it was boring. I really hope it gets more fun with more friends joining.
