Just a quick pointer: Joystiq is currently giving away a copy of Left 4 Dead and a pair of Turtle Beach Ear Force X3 Headphones. These bad boys generally sell for $100, and they allow players to block out the pesky, distracting sounds of the real world (lawn mowers, spouses) in order to better immerse themselves in something much more important: video games. Trust us when we say that sound is especially important in Left 4 Dead (as anyone that's been vomited on by a Boomer can tell you). The headphones also include a microphone so you can still chat during Xbox Live gaming sessions. Oh, and we should mention that they are wireless.
Head over to Joystiq for your chance to win.

I hope I win these headphones! I actually bought a pair of makeshift ones (that ended up sucking) because my friend has these and says that they are great for gaming cuz you can hear where things are in the game. Plus it was my birthday when the contest was unveiled. What timing!

they work as advertised. they are fantastic. you can definitely hear sounds moving around you properly.
you just have to make sure the audio content being piped through them is programmed for 5.1 surround sound.

I laugh at these people who never read the full entry and think they're entering the contest by making a comment here.

In addition to that headset, I do need L4D for the 360. I have it for the PC, but my 360 friends are demanding I get it for the 360 and I don't want to have to pay for it twice over.
