First look: Taiko no Tatsujin Wii
8
Taiko no Tatsujin Wii just released in Japan and, as you can imagine, we're incredibly jealous. We fell in love with the series back when Taiko Drum Master released on the PS2. Basically, every installment we see looks great, including the latest DS incarnations.

Josh is the best ^.^
Don't worry he'll be covering Tatsunoko VS Capcom soon enough, but that is a popular game among import crowds so it'll probably be last. He should be covering Let's Tap sometime soon, it's not out yet...

How import friendly is this? (more like how many kanji they use, because I can read kana) Because I doubt is going to be localized, and I still would like to have my anime and game songs instead of what they could put instead of them in a localized version.
And this is with a pair of drums right? or it can be played only with a controller?

Just got my copy, comes with a drum. You can also play it with controllers. Wiimote and classic (havent tried gamecube). It is pretty straight forward. There are practice levels and then theres the song select menu and thats basically it. You'll be fine with basic katakana/hiragana.

If only Nintendo made the Wii region free. Is there a quick way to make a US wii region free without resorting to opening the thing?
