Not really. This points to expert being exactly the same, and expert plus just adds the double-bass hits that are already missing from Expert currently.

I know that's an incomplete list, but as predicted they're filling it with most of their bad stuff. There's only 3 of their old (and great) songs on there right now :(

Very true. I was listening to And Justice earlier, and some of their less-well known old tracks like Frayed Ends of Sanity etc are absolutely fantastic. The new stuff is almost without exception awful, but I suppose it might add some variety to proceedings.

I still think For Whom The Bell Tolls would be the ultimate band-rhythm game song. Easy to play, and epic, as well as involving all 4 members (except maybe the drum beat).

I like it, mostly black album stuff. The most hated album by the fans and their best seller. That's the cd I used to practice english while I was learning the language, I'm so badass.

@Haggard

Dude are you serious? I know the new album isn't as great at AJFA or Master of Puppets but it isn't bad. If you truly thought you were gonna get the next Ride the lightning album after the disaster of an album they call St. Anger then your a fucking idiot.

Yep, that's Lars all right, workin' them twin bass drums like it was going out of style. Even Neil Peart went to a single bass drum years ago, for God's sake.

I don't think Neil Peart needed to play blastbeats.

Neil Peart doesn't play in a metal band. Granted, you could probably say the same as Lars these days, but my point is it's ridiculous to pass double bass drumming off as if it's some fad and not a integral part of many sub-genres.

My thoughts exactly. Well, not really, since there's no way in a hell I'm gonna buy a whole different game just for a couple of tracks, especially not a Metallica-branded one. But damned if seeing those two tracks on there don't make me give it a second thought.

if this is another half game for 60 bucks, no thanks. Aerosmith was very disappointing. If you can beat it in one night and still move your fingers, then they should include more songs. If not, i'll wait to get it in the bargain bin.

lol, this is Aerosmith all over again. A few good songs, lots of "popular fluff" and some other bands thrown in as filler. This should just be DLC....

'"drum fill" mode for free-styling with Metallica drum sounds'

Just what we wanted, that crappy garbage can sound that is the snare from st anger. And expert plus for the drums, haha that's rich. Lars isn't even that great of a drummer..

"Lars isn't even that great of a drummer.."

Two words

Dyer's Eve

No one's saying he's the best ever, but if all of his work pre-black album doesn't qualify him as great then there is no such thing as a great drummer.

"Two Words Dyers Eve"

Seriously? You do realize that entire song was pieced together right? That and they never even played it live for years until they TRIED to before St. Anger came out and they botched it horribly... HORRIBLY.

I've been a huge Metallica fan since the 80's but saying Lars is a great drummer because of a studio recording of Dyers Eve is not only inaccurate but an insult to truly great drummers.

Expert plus is supposed to chart all of the bass kicks so it will have some of the hardest drumming in any RB/GH games.

if they can fit over 85+ songs on a single disc for GHWT, they better recycle that technology and put some more songs in this game.

honestly, why do people speak as though this game is viable as a competitor to Rock Band? it's crap like this that makes this franchise complete and utter garbage.

They really need to put some songs from kill em all, master, and justice, load, and death magnetic on there.

So far it looks like Guitar Hero: Metallica Black Album

The House that Jack Built
Holier Than Thou
Escape
Ronnie
and maybe.. just maybe Devil's Dance

Will they sue you for downloading their songs? ;-)

Guitar Hero has the same problem as Tony Hawk.. the first game (or 2nd) was essentially perfect... so there is nothing much left to add. So they are left trying to crowbar in pointless stuff that no-one needs.

There doesn't EVER need to be anothe guitar hero/rock band game. They just need to keep adding downloadable songs...
