Though Valve likely somewhat cannibalized the Team Fortress 2 fan base with the release of its own, equally excellent Left 4 Dead, there's still pretty fervent interest in big changes and small tweaks coming to the game. The company recently detailed a few of them, like rechargeable cloaking for Spies and the ability to upgrade dispensers and teleporters to level 3.
Valve also revealed that it's working on a Scout expansion next, as well as "a massive Xbox 360 update, which will include pretty much everything shipped on the PC in the last year. " Sadly, there's still no date on the upgrade.

Anyone recall the episode of Family Guy in which Lois and Peter temporarily seperate, and go date other people...so Peter goes to one of his old high school flings, who is still wearing her prom dress from their date and hasn't washed her hand since the that day?
She even kept one of his "leftovers" in the toilet from that night and has been feeding it...
...Yeahhhh...feeling kind of like that.
Peter = Valve
Me = Pathetic, psychotic prom date
TF2 on 360 = Turd
But I'm grateful just the same to fiiiiinally get some updates for the game. Better late than never, eh?

They DID say that because they were being forced to charge, they would delay the updates for 360 so users could get the most value. Then again, there have been free updates to other games, so maybe someone should explain better.

you know I wasnt even aware all the updates they did on the PC weren't on the 360. I guess I just always assumed you had had to unlock it somehow

Actually, while the Scout update isn't out yet, the changes to Engie (upgrading Teleporters and Dispensers) and Spy (ammo crates recharging cloak) are currently out (plus, a Demoman nerf! Oh, and some quality-of-life features like Medic calls showing more info and achievement trackers).

Not that bad of a nerf...just discourages demo man turtling. You can still defend as well by hiding your stickies instead of just spamming them all over entrances. Also you can still blow up stickies mid air...although it makes it hard to take out sgs, which sucks balls as that was the one thing the demo was impossibly good at.

Call me old fashioned, but if could play counterstrike with native keyboard and mouse support on my PS3. I would officially never ever buy another game for my PS3.
If that was the case I could legitimately play PC players too. There would be no need for separation of the servers.

Very nice update, and a rather unexpected one too since they had gone on records to say no updates would be released until 2009. Looking forward to seeing what they do with the Scout...even tho he's one of my least favorite classes.

Played with the updates last night, and let me tell you, the level 3 dispenser is absolutely ridiculous when it come to it's health recharge rate. It is almost as fast as a medic healing you with a medigun now (might be faster, who knows).
Also, the demo's stickies crumble now when shot with bullets instead of being moved away. I was still able to top servers last night in score as a demoman though, so I wouldn't consider it a nerf. They're still as deadly as ever.
Other miscellaneous tweaks are thrown in there too, like teleporter changes and Spy upgrades (picking up building shards and ammo with add to the cloak's longevity). Overall it's a welcomed update with some nice changes. Nothing too drastic.

I was just thinking of getting back into TF2 during Christmas break. I'm an expert Medic.

I'm inclined to agree. People who have been playing L4D regularly since day one are losing interest due to the lack of content. Most of my friends haven't even bought the game either, and still play TF2.

I think I must refer you to the reason there is never a time stamped on Valve's shipments:
