According to the latest Shonen Jump in Japan, a game based on the upcoming Hollywood adaptation of the Dragonball movie will be hitting the PSP. It may be an exclusive, as no other platforms were announced. We're hoping it'll be just as totally awesome as Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game.
Trailer for the movie and bonus video of the Street Fighter movie game, after the break.
Once upon a time Midway was king. Mortal combat rocked up until #3. Maybe you're too young to remember, but it was market changing stuff. You wouldn't have games THIS graphic in violence without MK. That being said, their games lately HAVE sucked. There is a reason they've been on the brink of bankruptcy for years.
There was a time when the words "Mortal Kombat" sent chills of excitement down anyone's spine.
Then something went wrong. Horribly wrong. And every subsequent game since Mortal Kombat 4 (worst implementation of 3D ever) has been a dagger in the heart of everyone who grew up loving those violent, violent games.
I wish I had an MK2 arcade cabinet in my house. I'd marry it and have children with it.
I have a feeling that Dragon Ball is gonna rock so hard that the world will split in half. I mean what could go wrong? I see this movie as being the Titanic of video game movies . . . . . .oh, who am I kidding? The movie, the games based of the movie, and everything surrounding that movie will suck so hard that a black hole will form. Don't believe me, then check out this video from youtube:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBtpyeLxVkI
A very elongated anime with a very specific type of fan-base, suddenly butchered, shortened, and utterly misrepresented by Hollywood.
You'd have: - Pissed off otakus. - Lame movie. - One of the worst plot lines compressed into an hour-and-a-half of film. - An anime product in non-anime form, which takes away most of its charm. - Pissed off otakus - because it can't be said enough!
Oh, and Street Fighter The Movie sucked, and before anyone could even get over the trauma, out came the game, which left most of us scarred on the Playstation.
Man, this whole idea is bad from top to bottom, and just when I was starting to get over the exclusive 300 title for the PSP.
Maybe they should have followed the anime/manga a bit more....... Goku is supposed to be half bulmas size >< and a fun brat. This is going to fail so hard it's going to leave a permanent scar on stephen chows reputation
The Street Fighter Movie was hideous, but the game was actually decent! Maybe... just maybe... this game won't suck. The movie is a sure bet, tho... It'llreach new heights in sucking.
The saddest thing about the movie was that Raul Julia's last movie was so horrible before his death shortly after Street Fighter. He was such a great Gomez Addams in the Addams Family movies.
Three words, Screw you Hollywood. I'm boycotting this and the movie(I'm not even watching this on the net!!). You cast Chi Chi as Azn, Master roshi as Azn, Yum cha as Azn, Krillen as Azn, Tien as Azn, hell even the Dragon - Shen long, is Azn. The movie is also produced by Stephen chow(Shaolin soccer) and also directed by an Hong kong director, who're Azn.The most obvious Azn role, Goku, is played by a white boy who doesn't even know how to fight. Go nipple on my pubic hair hollywood. 8-----
This reminds me back in the day when i had the mortal kombat annihilation soundtrack and people kept asking me if i liked the movie so much that i bought the soundtrack. I replied that after this first movie i'll be damned if i watched the second but i just happened to like the soundtrack (all tracks cept the stupid immortals song). Anyways...movie...totally gunna blow...i mean the acting is just like in street fighters movie (like remember when ryu throws a fireball...but no fireball comes out but his opponent gets hit anyways?). I mean in the cartoon (yes i said cartoon!) dont they fight so fast that they disappear? There going slow as molasses (molasses...dont use that word everyday). But hey...who knows...the game might be good. As a matter of fact if they sell one game they just might out due there ticket sales
