World Tour free DLC offer is alive, it's really alive!

Last week, we mentioned a new Guitar Hero World Tour holiday offer where, with purchase of a World Tour bundle before December 31st, you can score five free downloadable tracks. We're pleased to inform you that the offer is now available and your free DLC awaits.

To participate in the offer, simply make your way to World Tour's free content download redemption page and enter both your World Tour serial number and owner ID from your manual. Then, like magic, you'll receive your free tracks. And seeing that we don't have a World Tour bundle handy, we weren't able to proceed through with the redemption process. So, we aren't entirely sure how you select the five DLC tracks or if it's a pre-selected bundle. It's like blazing new trails.

BAH! I'm at work for the next 6 hours, can someone confirm that the Band Bundle works!?

I have the band bundle and it just worked for me! Just use the guitar serial code under the batteries in the guitar.

You can choose 5 out of 10 songs from currently available DLC, and you will get further instructions 4-6 weeks from now

its mess up....cause the Owner ID on the manual has 5 section of Words and numbers,but the site has 4!!! WTF

FYI no "official" ID works, just pick 00000 00000 00000 0#### and then tweak the lat 3-4 numbers till you find one that works.

Also takes 4-6 weeks T_T

This worked on my first try. How did you figure that out? Doesn't make sense to me.

B1gg Randall - how it fix? I tried to enter mine in 5 digit segments to make it work in those 4 spots, but it tells me I have an invalid Owner ID. Tried the first four also. Using Firefox 3 on Mac.

where do you find the owner id in the manual??? is it the wireless controller instruction one??? cause dats all i hav....

Um, the owners ID is on the back of the game's manual. This promotion is for people who bought the guitar and game together.

I'm having the same problems as others since the Owner Manual ID is formatted differently it's saying my ID is invalid... hope they fix this, or there is some work around available.

It's under the batteries. There's a diagram on the redeem page.

Serial number is under the batteries in your guitar, the site tells you that.

And yeah, owners manual ID code is 5 blocks of 4 digits while the site's is 4 blocks of 5 digits. Even making it fit doesn't work. They need to do something to fix it, no one is going to be able to get anything like this.

Mine has worked and I am using the Band kit :)
You get to choose 5 out of 10, and they'll send you an email in 6-7 weeks telling you how to redeem them :D

Is your owner ID code 5 blocks of 4 or 4 blocks of 5? Mine is different than the site's, and won't work even if I make it fit.

I did what "Myles Morley" said, and i even used the serial number from my drums because my guitar has been sent off for repair :/

Hmm. Okay. I just figured it might not be a good idea to use some random number. I was thinking maybe the owners ID was tied to the disc it came with.

Can anyone post a clear description or a pic of where the owners id is? not sure why on the site they show a pic of the serial num but not the other? i have a "Wireless Controller Instruction manual" read it cover to cover, english, spanish, french, no owner id. Can anyone help?

So I wonder why it will take 4-6 weeks to make this happen...don't get me wrong, free is free, but free right now is much better than free 5 weeks from now.

Enter 0s for everything except the last 4 digits.

Once you do that with the remaining 4 spaces use the last 4 digits on the owners manual.

You get taken to the next page and then you get to choose song then get a message saying 4-6 weeks till you get your prize :S

If you're able to choose from CURRENTLY available DLC, why wait 5 weeks to cash in?

Another reason I hate Activision's Guitar Hero.

If you use your guitar serial number and then the drum serial number you can get all ten songs. SWEET!

Wtf, it's not even from the whole list of songs that are out, they just give you 10 to choose from:

I was under the impression this offer is only for people who purchased the super bundle (Game + Mic + Guitar + Drums) and not those people that only got the Game + Guitar.

Shoot me if I'm wrong, but maybe that's why some peoples codes aren't working?

WTF!!!!!!!!! Nothing works for me. It keeps saying Invalid Owner ID. What the hell is wrong with this thing?!!

I tried it on both Firefox 3 and whatever the most current version of IE, and it didn't work either time. Same for using the various ways of making it work with zeros, 4 sections into five and even offering up a sacrificial rockband guitar to appease the Guitar Hero Gods.

I'd like to confirm, just enter

00000 00000 00000 00000 0####

and it works. Just replace the #'s with random numbers.

Again, this works fine for me, just make sure that you enter 4 rows of 5 0's (zeros) then one that starts 0 (zero) + 4 random numbers.

example: 00000 00000 00000 00000 03627

Is this a result of people just putting random numbers in?

Replace the #'s with random numbers.

what a joke, first your code dunt work from intructions / then the website is bunked up / then u can only choose 5 from a list of 10

& Finally when u have choosen from said list of 10 u have to wait weeks to get em via email.

nice try GHWT, nice to get free tracks, but we want em straight away, not in a few weeks.

i presume this was to compete with RB giving away tracks also. ( at least GH tracks are from known arist's)

But this is a epic fail.

Personally I'm going to wait til they fix it. I don't want my serial number floating around in some database hole.

It pisses me off that Rock Band 2 already has 2 Paramore songs while we only have 1 in Guitar Hero WT...............and HAYLEY WILLIAMS IS IN THE GAME!!!!!!!!! I DO NOT UNDERSTAND!!!!!!!!!!! They better put Riot! as DLC because the whole album deserves a spot on GH!

It is really enjoy my self while playing with guitar hero world tour.
