Home is getting bigger (well, it couldn't get much smaller, could it?) in Asia on Thursday. The service will expand with a new Namco Bandai space, which will include lounges for Tekken, Soul Calibur, Ridge Racer and a classics museum where you can play Galaga, Xevious, Dig Dug and Pac Man on arcade machines. There will also be a bunch of new items to buy, such as holiday themed costumes and furniture as well as Namco Bandai and Nippon-Ichi branded items.
With the original open beta press release stating that the European and US versions would be expanded this week, we're hoping that will also occur on Thursday. The service desperately needs some new, interesting content. Hopefully we'll see as much third-party support as the Asian version is getting. Check out the Famitsu article for more images.

I hope some new content comes out as well, even I will admit it needs it.
An article on Yahoo that features Home. Nice to see some advertising.

Funny thing, this article was posted along the PS3 upgrade as well.

First the RROD, and now the "Circular Scratch of Death" = CSOD??
And all theses folks keep buying the 360 in droves. I am beginning to think that alot of these purchases are back up systems.

that Namco Bandai space looks more fun than all of the American Home put together. Hopefully they'll bring it to America soon.

I'd be willing to check out a Soul Calibur space.

Playing Namco arcade games could mean the difference between Home being a pointless "feature" and being a moderately entertaining time killer.

The namco arcade games are allready in the Asian Home, playing them can give you things to put in your own apartment, among the things are working arcadecabinets =)

If you want the arcade cabinet to be playable you need to download the namco beta from the Hong Kong store. It doesnt require a code to play the arcade games unlike the Japanese version.

If you use a foreign account to download the Namco Classics Museum, you can put the arcade cabinets you win there in your own apartment in the US; just make sure you install the demo while logged into your US account.
And dammit Sony, where is our SOCOM ROOM?

If you installed the demo under your US account, then you just need to unlock it in the demo. After that, you can stick the cabinet in your apartment and play the games. I believe you need to keep the demo installed for it to work in Home, though.
Other people will not be able to play it.

What I would LOVE to see is a GTA IV space. In the city.
The game wasn't great but, the space would be amazing.
Maybe a Battlefield: Bad Company space as well. :)

Europe and Japan, seem to receive better treatment.
I wish NA wouldn't be so stiff on licenses and maybe we'd have PlayTV and all those goodies.
Canada can't even use Hula.

Put Galaga, Xevious, Dig Dug and PacMan on Home in Europe and all of a sudden it'll be worth the effort.

Another PS3fanboy article with a negative spin on Home. What is up with this site and these anti-Sony writeups like 'Home is getting bigger (well, it couldn't get much smaller, could it?) '
STFU already, and reveal yourselves as the Xbot sellouts you really are...

I love my PS3 and I think you sucks enormous cocks.
"They have opinions like anyone else. It's the fucktards like you who will blindly praise anything that comes out on the PS3 who is the true fanboy. How ironic your statement is."
Wait so,"praising ", something that you enjoy, and play in a website that clearly states "PS3fukinFANBOY" is a blinding experience ? Fuck you ! If you say, " I like Sony", yet despise it's products along with it's peripherals then guess what bud? You're the weakest link, you don't deserve Home or a PS3 for that matter. In fact I hope Home wasn't free so that I won't see and meet people like you when I can meet people that enjoy things that I do as well.
I'm actually glad some people don't like Home (usually unsociable people) But really STFU he likes it and so do many out there like myself and come here to read good shit on the PS3 . Not to see some idiot like you attacking a PS3user like it was out of anger and insecurity.

And I'm still waiting for SCEE to give us Europeans just one, just ONE, home game space for me to look at. I probably won't enjoy it but at the moment I just feel really left out.

That's cool. Before you know it there will be many game spaces available. They still need to open the one for warhawk with the startegy room, and i've seen pics for the resistence room as well.
On a side note, it be cool if they had a Metal Gear Solid room that's set in shadow moses or something. With rex in the background.
