We're very happy for all those who understand what's going on in the three Noby Noby Boy gameplay videos we've placed after the break. We'll just smile and nod politely as you write in the comments about the innovative mechanics and explain how the game is a satire of 17th century French society.

In fairness, Keita Takahashi took a simple idea and made it work before with Katamari Damacy, so we'll just have to wait for more videos to make sense of what we're looking at. Those prepared for weird, check out the videos by hitting the big blue pill link below.

its up there. The game looks like it will be fun to play. When I first saw Katamari I thought it was pretty weird, then when I played it I found it to be like crack. I imagine this game will feel like that. Like sweet sweet video game crack.

Yay! I'm waiting for a new game from this guy since Katamari 2! Looks like an interesting concept, playing with physics and stuff. It seems like the snake is a little like a flexible Katamari and instead of just rolling over other stuff you can use your body to drop people from their cars, eat people and stuff and even fly. I can't wait.

But what is the point? Eating people doesn't seem to have any effect on one's ability to stretch, stretching doesn't seem to do much anything except occasionally disrupt vehicle operators, and flying (or infinite jump) seems like it's only to allow you to mess with the ring clouds, again for no reason.

Why not include any type of on-screen indicators? Are they not in the game, or did they decide to not show them to keep this mysterious? At this point, it just looks like a weird tech demo with no point. Katamari was weird, but it had an easily recognizable gameplay objective. I don't think people will pay just to be a weird pointless snake/dragon thing.

Hmm... if only I could play a game where I ate people and crap and the sprayed them out my *** whole, that would be so cool! Something tells me the concept for this game was though up while sitting on the crapper.

Is "Crapper" some sort of slang for LSD? I cant keep up with you crazy kids.;)

they managed to make a game weirder than katamari... I MUST HAVE IT!

i hope those arent the final graphics either. katamari's environment was very cool looking and full of a lot of stuff, this one just looks kinda bland. hopefully its just an early gameplay build

At first, I was thinking, "What the eff is this weird shi" and then I realized-

It's basically Snake, but in 3D and with an actual world. I'm assuming, as you eat things, you grow longer, and instead of those things being random dots, they're balls, cars, people... houses?

But look at the third video, he gets to full length without eating anybody. It just makes that weird stretching sound and poof, he's super long with no food! Otherwise, I was thinking Snake as well.

Yeah, but in snake, you had to avoid your tail, right? Or there were other snakes coming for you to eat your tail in multiplayer, or was that Snafu on the intellivision I remember...

If a snake is coming after you, can you crap a blue turtle shell at them? Would you have to aim it?

Personally, this game could not look any more awkward than it already is. It might be fun, but damn does it look wierd.

I thought it had more to do with the Spanish Anarchist movement from the late 1800's.

This is coming out for PS3? It looks like they missed the bulletin that the Emotion engine was the BACKUP processing system.

Cool physics and nice graphics, though.

people need to realise this is basically just a tech demo to showcase what the came can do and exactly wtf it is. I gurantee you when the game comes out not only will the environment be bigger, but there's going to be more stuff, better graphics, and more dancing pandas.

I'm pretty sure it is going to look the same...

What is the point of this tech demo then? What exactly is it demonstrating that is worth showing to anybody? That you can stretch, eat people, and jump a lot? Tech demo's are supposed to showcase new gameplay mechanics or new graphic/physics engines, not simple gaming mainstays such as jump and eat. If they just wanted to show what the game looked like, they might as well have just released screenshots.

they wanted to show how the thing moved and basically give us a teaser about what it is. I'm sure they'll add more to it and polish it waaaayyyy more. There's probably a lot more to just eating people and jumping a lot.

ummm... Did anybody figure out the objective of this game?

Is this even a game? It looks more like a toy... There doesn't appear to be any kind of aim, or in fact anything to do at all...

My guess is the actual game engine is turned off.

Much like showing a tech demo of an FPS with infinite ammo and clipping turned on with invulnerability and no AI.

However, being able to fart sheep at high velocity is now one of my favorite weapons.
