Seriously.
Just appalling, its like they're just killing time till the next band pack game, Metallica and the inevitable follow-ups.

*goes off to buy Rock Band, as its obvious Activision have no intention of treating GH as a platform like Harmonix are*

What a complete and utter joke. This is exactly why I sold World Tour and will keep supporting Rock Band. Activision hasn't got a clue how to support a game with great DLC and this proves it. Oh wow! Can't wait for Oasis's album!! Who even listens to Oasis anymore? Ughhh...

The one thing I can give Harmonix is that even if the tracks are not things I'd normally listen to (Country Pack), the songs were fun as hell to play (Sin Wagon, especially).

That's not to say we won't be pleasantly surprised by some here, but they haven't exactly gotten my hopes up in the past.

And, of course, Nickelback.

VCize

I agree somewhat but Pearl Jam is ftw.

I think the problem may be that they've spent all their resources on getting bands for RB2 and only now are they getting quality DLC back on track.

Pick one, they both fit.

Guitar Hero is now, honest to God, dead to me.

Pretty weak offering, and that's without even comparing it to Rock Band's DLC.

What ever happened to that free reggae pack?

Activision is very generous for letting our wallets rest a month after the holiday. Then we'll have money to spend on RB DLC.

Seriously, I own GHWT and am not trying to bash anything, but that DLC is very unimpressive.

That's actually the one song on the list I'm a little excited about trying. It sure as hell isn't a 'Guitar' song.... but neither is the Barker pack itself. And from the sound of the drums on that track, it could be a lot of fun.

Of course.... I ain't payin for it. (Thanks Erik!)

Wow, what's with the immense hatred of all things Nickelback? I don't particularly like their music, but I certainly don't care enough about it to consider it the bane of existence and completely write off a company for being in any way associated with it.

Yeesh, there's more elitist snobs in here than a friggin' Apple Convention.

Well, being Canadian and having been conscious while they were making their "rise to stardom", I had to put up with Chad Kroeger being a complete idiot and their godawful copy-paste songs getting non-stop radio/video play.

I always said if either franchise got Nickelback, they'd be dead to me, and one has.

I think it comes from the fact that Nickelback said that music games are dumb and we should play real instruments.

And with his logic, I immediately went out and became a plumber, a WWII soldier and a underground street racer.

Wow... I keep looking for a reason to pick this game up for the few songs on the disc I want to play but crap like this reminds me to say "Helllllllllls no."

It's really going to suck having all that Metallica on that platform (and thusly unavailable for RB). Ugh.

Yeah seriously.. "Oasis?".. these guys don't know music at all, though you would have thought I realized that when they fired off GH: Aerosmith.

What can I say, I'm an eternal optimist.

Dude trust me. This game sucks compared to rock band. My friends and I rented it and after about 20 mins we decided to go back to rock band. It is inferior in every way. The mix is low. Character Models look Horrible and move like puppets. Drumming is not as fun. And you never feel like a band when u play it like you do in Rock Band. Rock and is just better in every way.

Yeah I had little doubt, but I needed more than a handful of songs I don't have in the 300 or so of my Rock Band library to persuade me to pick the disc up.. even used.

I just like kicking a horse when it's down. And Boy does it look like this one is down.

The only song worth buying is "Tomorrow" by Silverchair and that isn't even an amazing song. Just 90s Alt-Rock nostalgia.

I think the Blink song would be fun, but it should be half price since it's only 2 minutes long and pretty easy. I like it mostly for the fun/nostalgia, not the musical prowess. Still doesn't make up for any of the other ones though.
