Lumines Supernova priced and dated

Q Entertainment is bringing us an early Christmas present -- they have just announced that Lumines Supernova will be released on Tuesday, December 23rd and priced at $14.99. The game will feature two brand new modes: Dig Down Mode, where you attempt to reach the bottom of a playfield already filled with blocks, and Sequencer Mode, which allows you to create your own music utilizing different sounds and loops. Another highlight, of course, is the LittleBigPlanet skin that will be included in the Challenge Mode. Finally, Trophies will be supported at launch -- check out the list right here.

[UPDATE] Sadly, Europeans will have a little longer to wait. They won't be getting the title until "early 2009."

Man, December is being a great month for the PSN. Soldner-X, Crash Commando (get it, it's fun!!), the two LBP Level Packs, Lumines Supernova... more, more!!!

Do you guys know if they will be releasing the extra music pack in the US as well? (it was in the JPN PSN last night)

SCEE is playing worse than it has done in a loooooong time. We're missing several patches, many games, and just the general, quality store front that the US has.

If only there was something I could do other than complain... I would love to really get the message across to those bleeding lazy fuckers at SCEE.

You could start by complaining on Sony's official forums instead of stinking up this blog.

$15 for a puzzle game (that has pretty much stayed the same) is a little tough to swallow. The new modes, custom playlist, and background music editor should make up for it, though. I'll still pick it up, but $15 for small PSN titles is turning into a disturbing trend.

Yeah, $10 or less would've worked better. gotta suck it up and shell out the $15 though.

and in addition to what you said, trophies. i would be really happy if it was $10 but $15 is still reasonable for the content. (although i probably only feel this way because i've never played lumines before so i'm vaguely intrigued.

Trophies shouldn't be a justification for a higher price. They should be the norm and not made a big deal.

Huh. The European Division Of SCE is taking a piss again.
The UK PS3 was rubbish at first, Q3/Q4 2008 was brilliant with many simultaneous releases, but now things start to suck again. Duh. Another game to get from the US store I guess...

I've played some PC Clones, not sure on the gameplay. Seems a bit pricey for a Puzzle game. I am still waiting for a Puyo Puyo or Tetris game.

Ok now this is starting to seriously suck, even more so than usual. From here on I will assume all PSN titles are delayed for EU, unless stated otherwise :P. SCEE don't want our monies :(

First Supersonic Acrobatic Whatever at $15 now this. It seems Sony wants to go 5 bucks up with PSN games. Supersonic was down to $9.99 in a week or so hopefully the same will happen with this (not that I care about it).

As far as the european release goes little eslse besides Febuary 2009 According to sony europe's main website where Lumines supernova is listed :(

Come on SCEE this is becoming a joke Why not make worldwide releases for once heck even English releases Stuck in the Uk i have to wait for the rest of europe to catch up before I play a game now :(
