Stew > Most of us don't want ******* translated games. We just want it in plain English, but the companies just don't get it. Let France, Germany and Spain wait on their games if it really is as big a deal there as some people claim, but let the rest of Europe get the game faster instead of stupid and useless translations.

Yup, I bought it from the US store as well.

@Edward Reed, boycotting the UK version would lead to even more delays as the European market would be considered 'secondary' and 'less lucrative'. As easy as that.

I got it off the USA store too. Setup a USA account (make up a valid address - Mine is Beverly Hills 90210!) and buy a US PSN topup card from ebay, about 18 quid for 20 dollars worth. Then you can top up the US account then buy whatever you want. It is such a great game its a pity they don't just release this sort of thing worldwide at the same time.

well just did that as well. I just created a US account, typed in a fake (existing) US address but used my own credit card.
I was surprised to see that the US PSN store is way bigger than the EU one.

I blame sony, it has nothing to do with capcom - they sent it to both Sony and microsoft and microsoft managed to get it up on their UK store the same day as the US.

I can't believe that they are still treating us europeans like scum. It really REALLY gets on my t*ts.

Anyway - according to my US account (with entropay) the US Department of Defence (In the pentagon) is now in possesion of 1x copy SSF II Turbo HD remix, 1x copy Street Fighter Alpha and 1x copy of Price of Persia Classic.

Who would have thought that they had so much time to play games with all this 'terror' going on.

Capcom you stink!, it is not like there is much to localize in this game either. I did not buy puzzle fighter because it was delayed for so long, I already lost interest. And the same is propably going to happen with this game.

im acually bored of blogging my disgust with SCEE because it is SCEE fault.im sick of hearing "it takes longer authenticate games in the eu region because of localisation issues and because of longer (can we put this game on are stupid store) period"it boils down to numbers america has more dumb consumers than we do so the get it first simply because americans are rich and need a wide range to choose from.we on the other hand are like sony's neglected pet dog that is starved of any nurishment and when sony gets tired of hearing are stomachs moan the push a bit of shredded moldy chicken through the rusy bars of are cage.but as everyone knows you can only neglect an animal so long before it decides to bite back.sony enough is enough somthing has to be done EQUAL RIGHTS FOR GAMERS!!!

Well when it comes down to gamers I guess the US has just a way bigger player base then the EU. Although the situation got better for EU players compared to like 10 years ago, there are still lots of things that could be better.

People! If you only got ANY major credit card (not laser or maestro), just use ENTROPAY. I've downloaded half of games from US PSN using entropay. Reason? Maybe because 9.99USD < 9.99Euro for the same game, maybe because I don't have to wait, maybe because US gets more addons for games... Simply create US PSN account using any working american address (I'm using address of American division of Konami), Create Entropay virtual Visa, top it up using your credit card and Buy whatever you want. All the games work fine, all the trophies goes to your european account (as long as you play those games on it). Entropay is not a scam. I'm using it for about a year now, and never had a single problem with it. Forget about european PSN, and european release dates. Play Disgaea or Silent Hill now! Get all the addons for Naruto or all the items for LBP! Buy american releases on ebay and have the games faster than your local gamestop. If they don't treat us right, let's just use american releases.

I dont mean to sound like a spoiled sport, but...umm i...I dont realy support games that are not trophy enabled anyways, (thats right im a trophy whore SUE ME lol,) i played the game on xbox and i dont think i would spend that much time on it anyways, so this gets a "meh" from me n e way, its not that i play specifically for trophys, (Take metal gear sold [awsome] 4 for example) i only play games without trophys if there Epic titles,

Metal gear
God of war
Street fighter IV

If nonew of these games had trophys i would still spend countless hours playing them :)

The localisation problem in Europe is down to them having to support lots of different languages. The thing is, that washes with RPGs and the like, but with Street Fighter II it must take no time at all to localise the languages! Grrr....

I just hate that SCEE's Europe store encompasses so many countries. If there are problems delivering content because of localisation issues, doesn't that indicate that the locale size is too large? what I'm getting at is, the US version is fine for Australia, the UK, and other English speaking nations. I understand that some countries may want a translated version, but I think Sony would find that honestly, these consumers are few and far between. Why should the rest of suffer because of this? I particularly resent Australia being grouped with the EU here, because we simply aren't part of that... We're closer to Asia than the EU, and realistically we should have our own store, probably very similar to the American. Perhaps Sony should offer the choice of store, rather than pidgeon holing consumers. All they are doing by limiting what we can consume is losing revenue!

I don't think localisation is the issue at all. I live in France and according to people who bought the game on the US Store, the game runs entirely in French. So it's translated already and that's clearly not the issue.
The Euro store is a joke anyway. We don't even have proper categories. The US Store is very tidy and you can find everything easily and quickly. On the Euro store, everything is thrown in the same bag: DLC with themes, wallpapers, demos... It's nonsense. Europe is the second biggest videogame market in the world, dammit. We deserve respect. Now, they'll release SF2 HD at about the same time as SF IV. Who will want it then? The title will flop and then they'll lament that people don't buy stuff on the Euro store. Get your act together, dammit!!!
