Alright. We're approaching the end of the month -- and year -- and it's time to ask the big question. The big negative question, anyway. What was the worst Wii game you played this year? Even better, how did it end up in your Wii? Rental? Belonged to a friend or family member? Morbid curiosity? The how is really the important question here.

The Price is Right
Probably the worst game of all time. Oh and Baja 1000. I don't have a clue how that thing got out of the gate.

I didn't play any bad games because I was smart enough to stay away from shovelware. I bought Brawl, MK:Wii Okami, and GH:WT. And those are all awesome. In the wise words of Nelson - to whoever bought junk Wii games, "Ha ha!"

It's really not hard to avoid shovelware, save for Wii Play, which everyone has.

Raving Rabids Part 2. Rental. I thought the first one was a pretty fun party game, so I figured I'd try out the 2nd one. Freakin' HORRIBLE. I'd say that's the worst game.....EVER!!

I agree, Raving Rabbids 1 was quite good, but I got given the sequel as a present and it stinks! Worst game I have so far, and I've played Big Beach Sports. :P

?? The first one wasn't a party game - it didn't have any multiplayer games at all.
RR2 isn't a great game to play by yourself, but when someone comes over it's fun to fire up and shoot plungers for a bit. Also the cell-phones-in-the-theater game is fun and funny. I bought it on ebay for $20, and that's about what it's worth.

Medal of Honor 2 Heroes
Fantastic controls, good weapons but shame about the game. Desperate for some FPS action that might get with 50 miles of my old Xbox games, I gave this a shout when I saw it half price.
I sold it on in a week: Poor graphics, no AI to speak of (just pre-recorded paths), enemies that vanished before your eyes in mid-air, soldiers clipping into objects, rubbish level design, invsible walls a-plenty and my online wouldn't work.
Just awful. Another example of not using any of the Wii's power.... I mean come on guys, my Bro's old PS2 ran the huge environents, graphics and Physics of Half-Life 2 half a decade ago.
I'm starting to think that the Wii is less powerful than the PS2 and Xbox. and YES power does count for something as it allows innovation and immersive gameplay without any waggle.
Lucky I had the brilliant Metroid and No More Heroes to cover, even if the latter was a technical mess

Just be glad you don't live in Australia - They cut out the online bit over here (despite it being mentioned in the manual). The worst games I got were Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, TMNT and Rabbids - trade bait for MKWii and Zack & Wiki. I only played Rabbids, though (then sold it on eBay for $27).

i really like this game...
yeah the AI is dumber than i am and the graphics
are pretty bad (i couldnt possibly care less about that tho)
i think the controls are really good and the online
is the best the Wii has to offer, they did away with FCs and
built their own XBlive-like sytem that works flawlessly for
me.
if it didnt have the online then yes i would agree
with you but it does and thats enough for me.

I was fortunate enough to play 2 bad games this past year. I know I'll be in the minority here, but they were Mario Kart and Mario vs. Sonic Olympics. No originality, crappy graphics, lame characters. Total rubbish. Luckily, they were both rentals.

I keep mario vs. sonic olympics around for multiplayer play when kids come over. Other than that, it's not particularly good. The trampoline and "dream race" events are fun, that's about it.

Strictly speaking I didn't play it myself, but the worst game that was played on my Wii was The Golden Compass. By far. It ended up on my Wii cos my daughter insisted on having it, against my better advice ;-)

Probably the worst game I've played - in that respect.

The worst game - I've played -
Not the worst game EVAR.
It was a fun concept - but in practice it didn't have enough of what I like in a game.
That being said. My collection of Wii games is pretty small so I haven't played that many to compare it to.
No more heroes
Mario Galaxy
My Sims
Super Smash Bros
and, of course, Wii Sport.

Raving Rabbids 2. Why?
Yes, the campaign mode had different levels to play each with several minigames to unlock. But you didn't have to do anything to unlock levels or proceed further in the game. I literally left the controller untouched and scored 0 points on one of the minigames and I unlocked the next world. How is there fun in that when there is nothing challenging you to dodge rather than just take the hit.
It's really a shame because they created a great franchise from the first game ( whether more games are party games or platformers it doesnt matter) and are really doing nothing with it other than rehashing minigames. just terrible.

I can't remember the worst Wii game I played this year. I have a game rental subscription at the beginning of the year so I played a lot of different games and I'm sure there are some stinkers in there that I blocked from my memory.
The worst game I *own* is Sega Superstars Tennis. Totally unfun minigames and the main tennis matches get boring fast. The only reason I keep it around is a. it's not worth anything used, b. If you play a doubles match with you and a friend on the same side, that's actually kind of fun for a bit. So even a fairly lousy game has redeeming qualities.

STORY TIME!
So, I saw this semi-big-release coming out about mid-year last year and I thought hmmm.....I have always had bad experiences with this series but I am desperate on games and it had a nice pre-order bonus from gamestop.com. I got the 1 day shipping so I could have it the day it came out. I got it and was in Awe of the good graphics but the gameplay was REALLY shaky - after playing it for the first time in about a 6 hour chunk - I absolutely hated it - janky controls - horrible gameplay - i tried it one more time for a good 3 hours and just could not get the feel for it - by far the worst game to grace my Wii this year was Alone In The Dark

Tiger Woods All Play
They said almost true 1-1 motion was included.
OK,,teeing off is great, and chip shots, lobs, etc. But the putting absolutely blows! When you think you've added even a little too much power, the ball goes 1 inch. So you overcompenstate on the next putt,,and it goes a 100 yards. Definately trading this one in and waiting 'til the Wii Motion + version comes out. What a waste.

Sonic and the Secret Rings is terrible. The controls are clunky, the game play is subpar and that song you have to listen to between each level makes me want to scratch out my eardrums. Luckily I didn't pay much for it.

I dont let crap get into my game consoles, so therefore my game library only consists of decent-AMAZING games, so if I HAD to place the bad label on one game this year it would be Mario Party 8
1. I didnt ask for it.
2. The series still hasnt fully bettered Mario Party 2 in my opinion and finally...
3. It did not fill up the Wii's potential in sooo many ways, such as graphics and gameplay
Utter dissapointment

Dragon blade:wrath of fire, I fail understanding how they can screw a hack n' slash.
I exchanged it for another game (no more heroes just came out luckily) saying that it was bugged and my wii had problems reading it.

I'd say it's a tie between Incredible Hulk and Blast Works.
I didn't like either, i rented them both from Gamefly. I kind of liked Soul Caliber Legends but i agree it was kind of a crappy game.

Big League Sports. Hands down.
Maybe it was poor research on my part, but how can they legitimately sell a sports game that doesn't actually let you play any of the sports!!!!!??? If you haven't played it, it's just mini-games based on certain aspects of all the advertised sports, and almost every one of them sucked, both in gameplay and fun factor. Terrible waste of money.

Never played Everblue, but I borrowed Endless Ocean from a friend. I played it for 4 hours. Overall, I found it pretty boring, but at the same time, I'm not sorry I played it. It was an interesting concept for a game, and uh... kinda relaxing I guess.
I wouldn't recommend anyone buy it but I would recommend that anyone interested in "something different" should rent it.

Cocoto Fishing Master has to be the worst thing I have played on Wii so far. The control is terrible and try as I might I could not manage to catch one fish because they kept snapping the line. The game has single-handedly made me weary about buying any Wii Ware game without reading a review first.
