It's actually a good game.
And no, they were targeting SD screens, but it's still a welcome change.

Its a new strategy, tell your customers there won't be a patch so they don't get their hopes up...then unleash the patch so that they are very happy.
They also said there won't be a new Killer Instinct....

Valve did it, Valve did it!
Remember how they said there will be no more TF2 updates until 2009?
Come to think of it, they're the Simpsons of Video Gaming.

The actually retracted that statement and said they would fix it fairly soon after the original claim that they wouldn't.

They didn't lie. They just saw how much bad publicity they were getting so they changed their minds.

Never seen the game, yet I prefer larger fonts overall.
What I have seen was my friend demoing me his Xbox360 with number of games. The games pretty much demanded you sit one meter (that's 3 feet for illiterate) from HDTV to be able to read anything on screen: font are way too small if you want to have comfortable distance of 3-5 meters to your TV.
It's not about HDTV vs. SDTV, it's about plain accessibility. Font size must be adjustable.

Well yes, I appreciate that the articles and posts here are quite well written. But do you ever feel like there was humour in a piece of news that wasn't really needed. I don't know, like,
PRINCE OF PERSIA DELAYED BY TWO WEEKS.
Prince of Persia will be out a week later due to a logistical problem.
Done. What more needs to be said about this? sometimes I feel like the bloggers of the sites I frequent think that they are obligated to make me giggle. It's a nice bonus but it gets a bit much.
Also, isn't it ironic that a post on short posts was so long? like rayeeeayn on your wedding day almost.

Screw that, Joystiq has the best writers and the best posting community.
If I wanted to read witless, boring, misspelled posts about Japanese porn, I'd read Kotaku.

Still, I hate how they spend so long typing up those long fancy posts, they easily get outnewsed by Kotaku.
As much as I hate to say it, for a network that has over seven copy-paste-ready sister sites, I really hate having to feel 'lucky' if I get more than four newsposts over the weekend. Seriously how much effort would it take to literally copy-paste news? Or if you care about giving author credit, just write 20-30 words max( like you did here) then redirect to X3F/PS3F/WiiF...

Now how about we actually test our games before releasing them in the future, please?

I know. One of the reasons Valves games are so solid is they have extensive testings by regular people who play games. All it would have taken is one guy at home to call them up and say, hey. I can't read anything. FIX IT.

There's one up on Xbox 360 Fanboy, I'm not sure if Joystiq will link it or not.

That's cool. Now how about the patch that lets you make the text not auto scroll?

Nope. 'The Console War is over. 360 has lost.' is better by miles.
