And for twenty bucks on Amazon, all of this super-speedy goodness can be yours! Sonic Rush is the way Sonic should be: fast, thrilling, and challenging, the combination of which makes both a great platformer and a great title to game with on the go. The levels are quick but exciting, the game has plenty of unlockable content to further expand its playtime, and the storyline is...well, appropriate for a Sonic narrative, which is a polite way of saying that you probably shouldn't pick this up for its plot. Ignoring that last little niggle, though, you've got a great game here, so what are you waiting for?
Ready for the stats?
Sleep time: Sonic Rush won't pause for you whenever you close the lid, so be sure to hit the start button before putting the DS to sleep.
Load time: About thirty seconds to get through a few logos, select which character you want to play as, and then jump into a zone.
Play time: The first two acts of a zone should take you three or more minutes each, depending on how many times you die and have to restart from a checkpoint. The boss fight should last about the same, though keep in mind you'll have to complete both acts and the boss fight in one go. No quick saves for you!
