Just tested and there is no need to re-download everything.

Anyone else lost all the stuff they "won"? e.g. Echochrome shrits, statues, etc.? I can win them back in a new session, but when I quit Home and come back, it's all gone. Also, all the customization to my apartment, with "won" stuff is gone. If I win back the items they reapear at the right place.

Turn all the lights off in your Personal Space. I was reading the PlayStation forums and that was one of the solutions to that bug.

If you have friends in a different region, you can always set up a PSN account in that region. Then, if you want to join them in Home, just make sure you're logged into that account.

it's a good thing the voice chat is not available in public places... when the kids starts calling each other names, i don't want to mute them all :-)
hope it stays this way

having to redownload all the areas is indeed bit annoying, but i'm sure they'll fix it when we have more areas available in time, because it would use to much of their bandwidth

I don't see much of a difference between muting all the users and having all the users muted. It isn't that hard to hit select and switch voice chat to off is it?

Home = Fail.

I can't believe I'm going to say this.. but I'd actually prefer the NXE over this garbage.

I mean.. we don't even have customisable avatars which can be attached to the PSN ID.

Oh.. and God-forbid they give you decent facial hair options or even allow you to select the colour of your basic free T-shirt etc.

Fail, Fail, Fail.

bambino, we get it, you don't like home. You don't need to tell everyone everytime a article about home is posted.

anyway, when I'm in home PSN IDs are displayed over everyone's avatar. So isn't that some form of avatar-to-PSN ID link?

Beta or not, IF Sony insist on micro (well, not that micro actually) charging for everything bar the minimum in Home, I'll remove it off my system.

I don't mind paying for a few things, but when it comes to paying £1.59 for a sodding virtual T Shirt it takes the piss.

So far owning a clubhouse is next to pointless, there's next to no furniture for it, you can't stick anything up on the walls and they STILL charge you £3.99 for the privilege.

I know, I know, its only a beta, but even still, I feel a bit ripped off at the moment paying £3.99 for a clubhouse which is next to useless. I want to be able to put photos up on the wall, videos etc.. Surely it wouldn't have been too much to ask for in the public beta, especially as they're charging for clubhouses.

I'm gonna be honest, I've hating Home since they removed the voice chat. It's a social service that won't let you socialize. I'm not one of the idiots that think Home is there to entertain me, but that I need to get my own enjoyment out of it. But really, how the hell can I do that if I can't freaking talk to anyone!?

so, just wait.

you guys were all hot in the pants for the beta, well here ya go enjoy :-)

Did TedTheDog mis-spell "losing" or did you? I don't know, because it's inside your quotation.

loosing = releasing, making loose
losing = misplacing, making lost

Are they working on private chat for the main menu yet and have that carry over to any and every game? This would help out alot for White Knight Chronicles.

with the voice chat, they should have certain areas with certain channels that you can join the the Home Square..... that way you don't have to join, or you could set up your own private channel chats, with like a maximum amount of people being allowed to join so you could have a group conversation when people are at different places so you don't have to ring them.

If a feature is being abused then you remove the people abusing it, not the feature itself, I don't want the text chat removed because people go around saying 'gay' as if imparting great wisdom and magnificent put-down in one fell swoop, that would just be silly.

You can have unlocks from the Namco Arcade in any region of Home. Just download it from the Jap store, then play it on your EU/US account.

I still want voice-chat in all areas not just my apartment, why not make distinctions like "Underground", "Pro" etc and other forms of filter to get the young kids who like to bash each other their own square. Pacifier toys could also be nice to add to that area as well. ;)

Censoring is just a lost effort. Let people be people, but have smarter voice options availble to filter out annoying "noise".

I am superglad that I dont have to listen to everyone in public places. Scary enough being chased by 4 male avatars wherever I go , imagine hearing everyone too :o I would probably just end up playing without sound all the time.

This feels like something that was released too early. I know it would have looked really bad if this hadn't come out this year, but it feels very rushed.
I've gotten into that 30+ thread and met alot of really nice mature people.

Wow... just wow... What part of the word "beta" do some of you folks not understand? Home is in beta. Last time I checked that meant subject to change at any given release. Maybe it would have been better to have kept it in a closed beta. But then the same people would be begging for keys to get in. I guess you can't please everybody.

Then again, most people are complaining about bugs in existing features. A beta has bugs. The point of a beta is to find and get rid of them. People should expect issues with Home, at the moment. Many seem to be expecting a fully tested release.

whats really upseting me is that sonys trying so hard to stop the foul language... i mean like... are you serious? regardless if you find ways to stop us were just gonna find new ways to get around it, so were always a step ahead... their best best would be to jus hire a teenager to help them with that... its dumb... they needa lets us be able to talk in a socializing game... because either way its gonna happen....
