Yes. It is a travesty that VooDoo Vince is not even on the BC list.

As a side note:

Oh look, another annoying add to make the site unusable. What do I get to not buy this time.. Oh. something from AT&T. *cancels at&t service*

there, is that the result your advertisers are looking for, Joystiq?

Halo:CE was good at the time, but the only thing I can think of that really pushed the genre was the recharging health mechanic which is now all over console shooters, and may have had its day.

I wouldn't calling it "required playing" either, students could just play the intro to Silent Cartographer to see it working well, and then The Library to see how poor the level design got, and they'd have the gist of it.

It pretty much saved the Xbox, and while Xboxes are still a valid console brand it'll be fondly remembered, but video game history is littered with once great console brands which are no more.

I think this current generation of console players thinks they're the first to discover Rock and Roll, others know that it's just an iteration.

I'd give it a paragraph and a reference in a paper.

"When the history of video games eventually becomes mainstream college curriculum, Halo will the "required playing" equivalent of War and Peace."

I disagree. Halo sucks ass.

My Question is that they are selling it online through XBLM but what about the people that already own the original disc.... why would they repurchase an older title... now I realize people are thinking well if you own the disc just use it, well that's great but I don't always like carting my mass collection of Original Xbox games, In short I want to be able to play it in HD and from an HDD along with a few other supported games like Ninja Gaiden Black etc.
