GameTap Thursday: Tuesday brings the Overlord for free

they have a huge list of good games for free playing. what's the catch?

There's no catch. That's why it's a shame that Joystiq is the only site I know to run weekly posts about new releases and changes to GameTap. It's an amazing service that they run.

Al Emmo and the Lost Dutchman's Mine is listed as "Coming Soon" on the Gametap site. Is there a set time when these games become available, or is this just a glitch?

The gametap website says Overlord is only free until December 30th.

Overlord is a game that I love in theme, but hate in execution. If it was primarily a real time action game instead of a RTS, it would be much better. More generic, but more palatable for the masses.

I liked Overlord - once you got used to the controls, it was a fun (and often funny) game. Not a hugely popular game, but fun nonetheless.
